Notes:
- *The iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), and iPhone 5 will
require the Apple Lightning to 30-pin adapter or Lightning to 30-pin
cable (both, sold separately) in order to dock with this system.
- Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results.
If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head
unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work,
you may need to wait until a newer software update is available.
Airplane Mode (for iPhone): In the event of audio
interference when you have your iPhone docked, set iPhone to Airplane Mode. You
will not be able to receive phone calls in Airplane Mode.
iPod Charger: The SoundDock II provides power to charge your
iPod/iPhone during operation. iPod/iPhone charging is suspended when the unit is
turned off.
Controls: The only controls on the
speaker system are for volume, up and down. A wireless remote control is also
included which offers basic iPod controls; volume up/down, skip
forward/backward, search forward/backward within the song, play/pause, Playlist
select and off.
The controls on the iPod also work while connected to he SoundDock II. The
SoundDock II will return to the last volume setting used when turned on.
Note: The SoundDock II volume controls
must be used because the iPod's volume control only affects the headphone
output of your iPod when docked.
Aux Input: The SoundDock II has a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary
input for connecting a external portable audio source other than your iPod.
Using Headphones: The SoundDock II does not feature a
headphone output. While docked to the system, the headphone output on your iPod
can be used. Since the headphone output on
the iPod is independent of the Dock connector both the SoundDock II and
headphones can be used simultaneously, with independent volume control.
Power Supply: The unit is powered
by the supplied AC adapter only. It does not operate on battery power. The
SoundDock II provides power to charge your iPod even if the speaker system is off.
Non-Slip Feet: The bottom of the
SoundDock II features six surface-gripping rubber pads to provide a stable platform
on most surfaces.
