Our take on the Terk BIA-20

If you have coaxial cable runs longer than 75 to 100 feet, or if you've split your signal multiple times, you may want to add a signal amplifier to compensate for signal losses. Terk uses premium-grade electronics for the strongest, cleanest signal with maximum gain and ultra-low noise. You get wideband frequency response and true 75 ohm impedance to deliver the best possible signal quality for satellite and broadcast TV and even FM applications.

Note: To ensure a signal level that optimizes picture quality, it is recommended that an in-line amplifier be used for satellite signal amplification only when the signal is low.

Line powered amplification: The BIA-20 amplifier is designed to boost weak satellite dish and terrestrial antenna TV signals being fed into a DBS satellite receiver. The amplifier is powered directly by voltage from a DBS receiver, so an extra power supply is not needed.

All metal construction: The amplifier's housing is made from high quality, die-cast aluminum with waterproof F-Connectors for maximum reliability.

Wide Bandwidth design: The wide bandwidth design makes this amplifier suitable for all terrestrial over-the-air broadcast, including HDTV, and DBS satellite TV applications.

I installed it per instructions and absolutely no difference in picture quality. Don't wast your money. It did nothing.

I have DishNetwork and have a rather long run (over 180' from the dish)of cable to my detached garage. I could receive some channels but not all. I put this on and all of my issues were resolved
