About the JBL MPK170

Jon Paul

Marine audio package from JBL

This all-in-one package from JBL has everything you need to start building a great marine audio system on your boat. The compact PRV170 marine receiver and powerful 6-1/2" MS6200 speakers are made for marine use, so they'll stand up to the harshest elements while giving you the power and performance you expect.

PRV170 Receiver

The JBL PRV170 marine stereo will change the way you listen to music on your boat — without forcing you to modify your boat. This multimedia receiver packs a lot of features into a compact design that fits into a standard tachometer opening. You'll enjoy AM/FM radio, of course, plus built-in Bluetooth® that lets you stream music from your Android phone. You can also use the rear aux input for your music player, or plug a thumb drive into the rear USB port and enjoy your favorite music files.
The PRV170 features a set of rear-mounted preamp outputs, so you can expand your system with a marine amp in the future. The LED display lets you see what you're listening to with just a glance, while the watertight, UV-stable face and controls will stand up to sun, salt and moisture when you're riding the waves.

MS6200 6-1/2" marine speakers

The marine environment is harsh, but these 6-1/2" JBL® speakers are up to the challenge. With waterproof motor structures, a one-piece cast-polymer basket, a sealed magnet, rubber surrounds, and a grille-mounted tweeter, these speakers stand up to sun, spray, salt, and all those post-cruise washdowns. These speakers will handle up to 60 watts RMS, and they'll deliver strong bass and crystal-clear highs that cut through the roar of the open water.

JBL knows that finding extra space on a boat can be tough, so these speakers have a mounting depth of only 2-3/4 inches (70 millimeters) and a cutout diameter of 5-1/16" (129 millimeters). They'll fit in tight spots, with help from the included stainless steel mounting brackets.
