Protect or Disconnect Circuitry: The Panamax MD2 Surge Protector's exclusive "Protect or Disconnect" circuitry safeguards your equipment against all surges. In the event of a catastrophic surge such as lightning, the MD2 completely disconnects AC power to your connected equipment.

Two AC Outlets: The two 3-prong AC outlets are turned 90-degress from one another to accommodate different style plugs or transformers. One plug is located on the left-side, while the other plug is located on the right-side.

Right-Angle AC Plug: The Panamax MD2 Surge Protector features an integrated right-angle 3-prong AC plug which plugs directly into an AC wall outlet.

Noise Filtration Circuit: The Panamax MD2 Surge Protector utilizes a Noise Filtration Circuit (EMI/RFI) to remove noise and provide clean power.

Two Diagnostic Lights: Two Panamax MD2 is equipped with two Diagnostic Lights (LED) - Power On/Protection OK and Line Fault.

Power On/Protection OK: This LED (blue) indicates the power is on, surge protector is functioning properly, and all connected equipment is protected.
Line Fault: If this LED is lit (red), it indicates an improperly wired outlet.

Paintable Cover: The MD2's removable front-cover is paintable to ensure a seamless fit with almost any décor.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The weight of the surge protector makes it at least seem as if you are paying for some protective circuitry. Slim profile fits well against the wall behind a book case with side mounted outlets allowing cords to come out through the sides. Having never had issues with surges in the past, I can't say if the pricey cost of this for only two protected outlets is justified. It would be nice if the unit had 4 outlets, which it looks like there's space for.

Pros:

Good sleek profile fits along walls well and behind furniture.

Cons:

Only two outlets, price.

Panamax is a MUST to protect your equipment

I purchased quite a few of these individual outlet surge suppressors for equipment. I am
very happy with the Panamax brand and can feel safe and comfortable knowing that
these suppressors will do their job in protecting my equipment. I learned the hard way
by losing over $5,000 worth of equipment due to severe lightning strikes. The equipment
I lost was all the equipment I never had surge suppressors on, so take my loss as a
lesson, and get protected, ESPECIALLY if you life in Florida... the lightning capital of the
world.

I am also very happy with the service I received from Crutchfield.

HIGHLY recommended.
