Easy to use design. You can buy the most expensive equipment but it won't sound good unless you have a good connection. Monster has got it right with this design.

These work great as a way of making the process of attaching wires to my receiver much simpler. it is always a nightmare to get behind the unit and do anything in a rats nest of wires. The system of attaching wires to the average receiver is awkward. These make about as easy as it can be. I like the fact that the connectors accept different size wires and seem very secure with little effort. Great design. My only objection is that they are a little expensive. This type of connection should be the way all wires are attached to receivers and part of the basic design from the factory.

Pros:

Ease of use. Can use different wire sizes.

Cons:

Price.

Monster banana connectors

Great connectors...Easy to attach your wire to....Fits very snug in the speakers and receiver outputs/inputs....A much better way than just bare wiring your wire to everything...why spend all that money on great speakers, a great receiver, and good wires,then skimp on not connecting them in a safe and more secure way. Some may think oh well they are just connectors, well yes that is what they are and their purpose is pretty clear, but as stated above why skimp on your connections....I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great connector that secures your wires and that's easy to attach.

Easy to install onto the wire, you just screw them on over the exposed wire. Makes a solid quality connection that will never come out. They look great too. And, bonus, they are reusable!!! Thanks monster.

These are a bit pricy, but they are incredibly solid and well-made. They are easy to install and as a bonus, they can be re-used if you replace your speaker cable or move things around. Connections to my AVR and speakers are very solid; no concerns for loosening and shorting.

for 40 years I have been struggling with attaching speaker wire the old way of crouching on the floor, with all the nastiness associated, attempting to wrap around various terminals various types of speaker wire, hoping to get a "good" connection worthy of very good to high end audio stuff. With a TV upgrade and a new HDMI capable receiver decided to see what banana plugs are all about and a so glad I did; went for these Monster Quick Locks with Crutchfield recommendation. You do have to look at the plugs; unscrew the tops and get a feel for what they consist of but if you can strip a little wire these are amazingly easy to work with. I literally prepared 3 ten foot lengths of new speaker wire cutting stripping and attaching these plugs in five minutes; plugged them right in and everything was set. There are cheaper plugs to be sure but these appear to be "no brainer" easy to work with!

Very clever design to insure good connection and ease of assembly. While it says you don't need tools, you do need something to strip the wire and it helps to have a pen knife blade or something similar to tuck the wires in place. The final step of assembling the base and plug is indeed done easily by hand.

Bought these banana plugs after reading nothing but good things about them. Man what a difference they made. They fitted tight and secured on both my new Onkyo receiver, as well as my new PSB's. It made installation much easier, and the sound is great.Thanks to Nick for recommending them. Both Nick and Doug have made me a customer for years to come...Thanks guys

I've used these banana plugs for years, tried others early on but when I found these I never looked back! I have 3 systems in my house, living room, bedroom, basement. Every speaker wire (14 gauge) has these on both ends, aside from patio speakers which use the Quick Lock spades and a Zone 2 amp which uses Quick Lock pins (spring clips instead of 5-ways).

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get bare wire in the back of receivers when you can't see, and have very little space to work in. These make that task a non-event. Plus, by using on the speaker end as well, you know that you get clean signals going all the way through, and you don't run the risk of bare wires touching each other.

After using these for a while, you know exactly how much insulation to strip to get the proper connection, and so it takes only a minute or so per speaker. Great for reducing the variables!

Pros:

SO easy to use, assures clean signal

Cons:

Cost adds up when using for many speakers, but worth it

I have these and the Rocketfish ones. I prefer these over the rocketfish because the rocketfish have little parts that are easily lost. These are simple 2 parts Unscrew them, insert wire put back togeather.

Easy Speaker Connections

If you want an extremely easy way to connect your speakers to you A/V receiver that has all those speaker connections crammed together that it is almost imposible to get your speaker wire in those holes. Monster has solve your problem with the quick lock speaker wire connnector, they are worth every penny you spend on them. Plus these units are made to give you a much better connnection so you will get the sound out of your system the way your ears hear is best for you. There very easy to use when connecting the speaker wire to them, just cut and stripe the wire so about 3/8s of an inch of wire is above the crown that the wire is pressed against, next item is to screw on the connector and your ready just to plug in those connectors in your A/V receiver and speaker enclosures.
