Select Increments designed the Quad-Pod speaker pods to improve the sound of your stereo in the demanding audio environment of your Jeep.

Quad-Pod unloaded speaker enclosures attack the problem on two fronts. They mount behind the rear seats of your Jeep, each holding an 8" subwoofer and a 6-1/2" speaker. They'll ensure you get plenty of low-frequency and full-range sound output, so your music will bust through loud and clear. The tough plastic enclosures come with mounting hardware and 8" metal-mesh subwoofer grilles.

    Overview: The Quad-Pods are a unique way of improving overall sound while adding bass to your Jeep. The versatile Quad-Pods provide a tidy, factory appearance in all Jeep CJ7, YJ and TJ models. They allow uninterrupted use of the fold-and-tumble rear seats and the up and down soft-top hardware.

    Applications: The Quad-Pods will fit all 1973-up Jeep CJ7, YJ and TJ models.

    Speakers: The enclosure is designed to house a 6.5" full-range speaker and an 8" subwoofer.

    Note: Speakers or Wiring not included.

    Enclosure: The enclosure is made of a durable ABS plastic material to withstand the abuse of all your gear.

    Dual-Sealed Chamber Design: This design nullifies interference between the subwoofer and full range cavities giving you excellent bass response while providing vivid highs.

    • 6.5" Chamber: contains 0.18 cubic feet of air space and provides a mounting depth of up to 3''
    • 8" Woofer Chamber: contains 0.50 cubic feet of air space and will fit most 8" subwoofers

    Grills: The grills are made of metal to protect your woofers from being punctured. Grills are only provided for the 8" subwoofer opening.

    Note: 6.5" grills vary greatly in design and application and are not included.

    Installation

    Quad-Pods Installation: Quad-Pods are securely fastened to the wheel wells with the included self-tapping hex-head screws and the enclosures have concealed wire-lead holes to route your speaker wire from your head-unit or amplifier to the speakers and subwoofer.

    Tools Required: The following tools are needed for installation of your Quad-Pods.

    • Drill and phillips bit
    • Exacta knife / razor blade
    • Wire cutters / strippers
    • Wire terminal crimper
    • 5/16" socket bit and extension for drill or 5/16" ratchet socket and extension and a small drill bit for pilot holes

    Note: You may need a Roto cut-out tool if you have to make the speaker hole slightly larger to fit your desired speaker.

    My 97 Wrangler is my favorite ride, but unfortunately, the sound chamber doesn't lend itself to many options for an 'audiophile'.

    The quad-pods really worked out well. I filled them with 8" Punch subs and 6.5" RF full ranges. I drive each sub with it's own MTX RT202 amp with a 3rd RT202 driving the 6.5's. The sound is AWESOME!

    The pods had a little space between the bottom of the enclosures and the floor, so I cut out a 35" x 12" piece of 3/4" cabinet grade oak plywood. The pods mount directly to the board and only 1 screw goes into the Jeep's bed side. I had just enough room to stack the three amps with custom made stantions between the cabinets and finished the board out in gray fleck paint.

    The system looks and sounds great - the perfect solution for you TJ lovers looking for some great sound!!
