Features
Overview: The Monster Beatbox (by Dr. Dre) iPod/iPhone Speaker Dock
features powerful digital amplification to pump out the music stored on your
iPod or iPhone. The Monster Beatbox is equipped with two-way stereo speakers for
deep bass and clear highs. The iPod/iPhone speaker dock includes a auxiliary
input for connecting an additional audio source. An IR remote control is
supplied for iPod/iPhone & volume control.
Digital Amplifier: The Monster Beatbox iPod/iPhone Speaker Dock
features a 200-watt (Peak) digital power amplifier for powerful, room filling sound.
Two-Way Stereo Speaker System: The Monster Beatbox features a two-way
stereo speaker design for exceptional sound.
- 2.0" High Frequency Drivers: The Monster Beatbox utilizes two
optimized 2.0" concave high frequency drivers for precise sound staging. The
dual 2.0" high frequency drivers deliver crisp mids and clear highs.
- 5.25" Long Throw Bass Drivers: The iPod/iPhone speaker dock
employs two advanced 5.25" long throw drivers for superior bass
reproduction. The dual 5.25" long throw bass drivers deliver powerful, punchy
bass without distortion.
Corner Placement: The shape of the Beatbox allows you to place it
perfectly into a corner, giving you a great combo of space saving and deep bass.
iPod/iPhone Dock Connector: The Beatbox features a built-in dock for
iPod and iPhone for an easy, direct connection. The unit's integrated
iPod/iPhone dock supports audio playback from your iPod/iPhone's stored music,
audiobooks, podcasts, videos, or apps.
Note: The Beatbox includes five iPod/iPhone dock adapter inserts -
iPod video (30GB), iPod nano (4th/5th gen), iPod touch (2nd/3rd gen), iPod
classic (80/120/160GB), iPhone (3G/3GS). You can also use the iPod/iPhone
dock insert that came with your iPod or iPhone. Universal iPod/iPhone dock
adapter inserts can also be purchased from the Apple website.
Remote Control: The included IR remote control provides wireless
operation of the Monster Beatbox and your docked iPod/iPhone. The remote
operates off of a single CR2025 3V 'coin-type' lithium battery (supplied).
- Speaker Dock Control: The IR remote control lets you power the
iPod/iPhone speaker dock On & Off, as well as adjust the volume Up or Down.
The remote also includes a Mute function.
- iPod/iPhone Control: The remote control supports basic playback
functions of your connected iPod/iPhone. The remote offers Play/Pause, Fast
Forward/Rewind, and Skip (Next/Previous) playback functions.
Note: Make sure the "Shake to Shuffle" setting is turned off on
your iPod or iPhone. The bass of the speaker may activate it and interfere
with playback.
Information Display: The Monster Beatbox does not feature any display.
All song information will still need to be viewed from your docked iPod or
iPhone.
Battery Charging: The Monster Beatbox will charge your docked iPod's
or iPhone's internal battery, when the unit's AC power cord is plugged into an
active AC outlet.

Speaker Dock is "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following
iPod/iPhone models and functions (as of December 2010).

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may
change functionality results. If you download a newer software
version, you may need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone
to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to
revert to the older software version or wait until an newer
software update is available.
Auxiliary Input: The Monster Beatbox features a rear-panel 3.5mm
auxiliary input for connecting an external audio source.
Wireless Port: The unit's rear-panel proprietary wireless port is for
future use with the Monster Streamcast Wireless System.
Note: The Monster Streamcast Wireless System is not yet available.
Carry Handle: The Monster Beatbox features an integrated carry handle
that lets you easily take the iPod/iPhone speaker dock with you.
Power Requirements: The Monster Beatbox operates off of standard
household AC current (120V) using the supplied 6' AC power cord.
Note: The Beatbox is not battery operated.
