Dash pocket fits perfectly but is cheaply made. The side attachments are glued in place and the glue did not hold. I had to re-glue the side panel and now it works well.

This pocket fits and ultimately works in my Tacoma, but not without repairing first. This is a very basic "universal" pocket that Metra uses for many different vehicles. The mounting brackets are simply glued to the sides of the pocket depending on vehicle application. Mine arrived with one mounting bracket broken off due to poor gluing. I checked the strength of the other bracket, and sure enough, with a small tug it came off too. I ended up mixing up some epoxy and putting the brackets back on the pocket. Even for free I was a little disappointed.

Very poor quality construction.

Instructions were ok but didn't list other major items such as the old radios factory amp must also be removed and the Dash must be replaced before the unit will receive power to test.

Mount the radio on brackets and then figure out where the pocket needs to be.
Pros:

Wasn't happy to find I already had this in my car. It wasn't explained well by Crutchfield what this was. You don't need it if you already have a standard DIN radio in your car. It just pops up when you go to order your radio "you need this" I thought maybe it was a mounting system for the radio. It is just the pocket below it, that is already there in my car. Not worth sending this part back with $6 in shipping.
