About the Infinity Primus 360
Infinity's Primus 360 floor-standing speakers (the top-of-the-line Primus towers) deliver dynamic performance for both movies and music. The 3-way design includes dual 6-1/2" woofers, a 3/4" tweeter, and a 4" mid; you'll enjoy clear, rich sound all across the audio spectrum. The drivers are made from Infinity's exclusive Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.™) driver material. Derived from the C.M.M.D. material used in Infinity's high-end Prelude™ speakers, M.M.D. sports a stiff aluminum core that helps the drivers turn out crisp, lifelike sound with minimal distortion. They consistently outperform other driver materials on tower speakers in this price range.
Other cool features include 5-way binding posts for sure connections, and solidly built cabinets for reduced internal resonance. The 360s make an excellent pair of stereo speakers — the high sensitivity rating means you can play them loud without straining your amp. They can also anchor an impressive front soundstage in a home theater setup.

Features
Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.): All of the speakers in the Primus Series feature Infinity's proprietary Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.) drivers. Derived from the C.M.M.D. material used in Infinity's flagship Prelude drivers, M.M.D. features a stiff aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. M.M.D. transducers deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free sound from dynamic digital sources, even at high listening levels.
Woofers: The dual 6-1/2" M.M.D. cone woofers conduct sound faster than paper, polypropylene and Kevlar found in many similarly-priced speakers, pushing unwanted resonances beyond the operating range of the transducer. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofers use a rubber surround.
Midranges: The speaker uses a 4" M.M.D. cone midrange with a rubber surround.
Tweeters: The speaker utilizes a 3/4" M.M.D. dome tweeter and waveguide to deliver a wider, more even, high-frequency response.
Bass Reflex: There is a single port tube opening on the front of each speaker for increased and extended bass response.
5-Way Binding Posts: The gold-plated 5-way binding posts will accept pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, dual banana plugs and bare wire. Note: Plastic inserts must first be removed from the speaker terminals before connecting banana plugs or dual banana plugs.

Excellent tower speakers with the ability to handle both music and movies. The accuracy is fantastic and the clarity is wonderful too. SACD & DVD-A really come to life through these speakers. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their listening experience.
