    Could not crimp the ends unlike other banana connectors. They were twist on instead and not as securely fastened as the crimping ones.

    Bought several sets of these to use with a spool of Monster Cable XP speaker cable. Went on without a problem, made solid connections between the receiver and the speakers, can't ask for much more.
    Pros:
    Easy to use (and reuse, for that matter)

    Have 16g wire. Unable to completely insert the 1/2" of wire into the clip. Despite my best efforts, there is no way that you can get 1/2" of 16g wire into these banana clips.

    I covered the exposed wire with the insulator. I think if I would have known this I would have purchased the 2 piece monster quick clip banana plugs that are for the larger gauge wire. I would not have purchased these for 16g wire as they do not work.

    Monster Twist-on Mini Banana Connectors

    I used to be a bare-wire guy. When connecting speakers to receivers, I
    never used connectors. I twisted the bare wire and jammed the wire into
    the holes and screwed down the collars so tight that the copper started to
    squirt out of the sides. Metal-to-metal contact was what I was trying to
    achieve.

    Lately, I bought a new home theater receiver and tried to do the same
    thing with the wiring for the home theater speaker system. What a pain!
    The connectors are so close together that I would have to have had hands
    the size of a five-year-old's to fit my fingers between them. I had to try to
    thread the wire past nearby connectors and into the little hole in the center
    post without leaving even one strand of copper.

    I decided to try the Monster twist-on banana connectors. They were easy
    to put on the wire ends, and simply slid into the hole in the connector post.
    It turned out that I reversed the left and right rear speaker wires, and it
    was easy to quickly correct my mistake. The system sounds wonderful. Get
    connectors for your speaker wires, at least the receiver side. I know it's
    corny but, "you'll be glad you did".

    Plugs make connecting speaker wire to equipment and wall plates much easier. The connection of the wire to the plug is a little iffy in that you wonder if the grip of the wire by the plug is sufficient. I have used them on half of a 5 zone installation in my home, however, and they work fine.
