Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular — see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

These speaker wiring adapters are very cheaply made and didn't fit on my factory speaker wiring harness very well. When I tried to plug the adapter into the factory harness it pushed both pins out through the connector on the adapter on all 4 speakers, and I was being slow and gentle trying to prevent that from happening after the first one popped both pins out. I ended up having to cut the connectors off and hard wire the adapter to the existing wiring harness to get them to work. Was not impressed at all by these adapters.
Cons:
cheaply made, pins pop out the back side of the connector when you try to plug them into the factory harness.

I first had to install different spade connectors in anticipation of installation because I am installing Rockford Fosgate speakers and the stock connectors supplied on the harness don't fit the speakers. Not a problem. The problem popped up when I removed the first door panel. The harnesses don't fit the connectors on my truck (99 F350 Crew Cab). Called Crutchfield and they are shipping me another style. Hope these fit!

I bought 2 pair of Polk speakers for our 2008 Ford Edge SEL and the speaker harnesses provided worked perfectly. The speaker wire ends went on the speaker tabs without any difficulty and the other end snapped into the Ford OEM speaker plug. It couldn't have been any easier, truly plug & play.

Didn't fit on my 99 Super Duty XL

These connector's did not fit on my 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab XL. I am sure they would work, and after talking to crutchfield after the fact, they had the 'other' harness available. I only gave it one star to grab peoples attention. I just soldered and shrink wrapped.
