Once i install the radio in the the kit the radio seems a little small for the space.....

This product is made of fairly cheap plastic, with the possible exception of the front piece, and it behaves as such. You basically get what you pay for. It's cheap. I had to use sand paper to sand down certain parts to get them to fit in the grooves they were designed to fit into so that my head unit would fit and slide in. After an hour or so of sanding (it's an awkward spot, and plastic is pretty weird to sand anyway), I got it to work really well. The other problem, which is probably more complicated and I'm too lazy to fix, is that it doesn't fit exactly straight on my dash. I'm guessing the plastic "arms" on the side that eventually hold this piece in place are not 100% level, so you can tell that there is way more open space between this piece and the rest of my dash on the left top corner, and it's basically touching on the other corner. I wish I had taken a picture or filmed a video review, but it shouldn't be too difficult to visualize. Now, I'm not sure if these defects apply to all these units or if they're all slightly different due to the manufacturing process. It may be that some of them fit perfectly. Mine doesn't but it's not the end of the world to me. I'm just happy the head unit fits and plays well.

This kit works, but I must admit, I was slightly disappointed in the flimsy plastic build. The color match is just a little off (or maybe my old one is just dirty / weathered) but it is close enough. Looks nice from the outside, but I wish it was a bit more heavy duty like the original part that came with the stock radio. If it was designed to use the original metal rails that mount the radio to the AC controls, it would have been an improvement. I tried to use them, but could not get it to work in my case. In retrospect, I might have been better off buying a double din unit and using a full Din pocket beneath the head unit, but this is what came with the head unit for free from Crutchfield. I would have preferred mounting my head unit to rails as opposed to using the sleeve and the tabs. I ended up doing some modifications to this unit to support the rear of the head unit. In any case, it is installed and looks nice!
