If sound clarity is your goal, these speakers are a must have for the price. Like most 3 way 6x9s I've had experience with, the sound clarity and sheer loudness of these speakers are impeccable BUT, (yes you already knew it was coming) they majorly lack bass producing capability. Any hip hop, rap, metal, 606's 808's an the like wreak havoc on these. Clarity turns into crispity immediately. They can handle it without any damage, but it isn't pleasant to listen to. Unless you have subs, or prefer a select few genres of music that rarely if at all have bass drops, these speakers aren't your bag. I have subs that compensate nicely and the quality of these for the price is perfect. 4 stars.

Pros:

Clear, solid, unadulterated highs and mids.

Cons:

Crispy chunk bass.

Met my expectations good bang for the buck these were put in a custom built console for a Polaris ranger they play plenty loud enough to hear over the engine without distorting.

Pros:

Good quality speaker have been spray down with water and no problems

Cons:

Speaker drills are only held in with putty so they vibrate out only when off-road if these where put in a car that probably would not happen

I installed these in a 2006 GMC Canyon. My installation was easy since there were no existing speakers in the rear of the truck. All i had to do was install them in speaker boxes and run the wire to my amp.

For the price of the speaker i couldn't be happier, they make my truck have nice sounding base without a subwoofer in it. The highs are great as well, the sound comes out crisp, clear and loud. It was exactly what i was looking for. After i did some tweaking on my amp it made them sound even better.

Pros:

Crisp clear highs, bass is good for the price

Cons:

i have nothing bad to say about the speakers

I have these Kenwood 6x9's paired with a 8" sub in a custom speaker box in my 1977 Corvette and it sounds like Van Halen is playing live! Great sound. Clear, nice mids and overall awesome sound.

I got these because I read another review from somebody that had installed these in an 08 Dodge Caliber which is what I have. Installation took about 20 minutes for all 4 doors. Crutchfield sent easy to follow instructions. As the other reviewer had said, not all 4 screws will go back in after you put the speaker in. One of the longer screws wont go back in but it isn't really necessary as the speaker is secured by just 3 screws. The sound improvement over the OEM speakers is amazing. The highs are much more crisp and the bass is much fuller. I can actually turn the bass up on the head unit above -3 now. lol Not quite sure why Crutchfield says that these will not fit the front doors.

Pros:

Better sound, easy installation and price.

Cons:

Not all 4 screws will go back in.

I use these for outside entertainment so they are mounted in 6X9 speaker boxes, well sealed, and with fiber fill. The speakers are used for music, holiday songs, and sound effects. I am using 4 of these and they reproduce a great range of sounds including significant hits from some of the sound effects without distorting. I am driving them with an aplifier fed from a Sony STRDH130 and either a mp3 player, iPod, or portable CD player. They are a great value at this price point and while I have not been using them long I am very happy with their performance. I am thinking about swapping out the factory speakers in one of my cars with these.

A perfect 3 way speaker indeed. I loved the perfect base these put out, The highs were crisp and the lows did not drowned out. For the price, I could not have asked for a better speaker. I do listen to a little of everything, and I still have been unable to find a weak point in these speakers.

Great price, got to me fast, couldn't have been any easier to install thanks to crutch field sending me the instructions for my specific vehicle. The speakers sound great, especially for the price; with just enough bass. All around very pleased with the transaction.

Not a thing. Anyone with cons should be looking at a more expensive speaker set.

Replaced 4 Factory speakers on the OEM powered standard 6 disc changer stereo in 08 Dodge Caliber. (Non-Boston Acoustics) Putting these 3 way 6x9 speakers in the Caliber really takes the mask off the potential of the factory deck. Crisp highs, rear-view mirror shaking bass. (Mids are little lacking but can be adjusted by increasing the mids on the deck). Kudos to Dodge for allowing 6x9 speakers in the 4 doors of such a small car. The fronts doors installation take a little modification - just a longer screw on one of the 4. It actually is mounted pretty solid with just three screws. Plenty of room behind factory screens. The sensitivity is great. I get the same volume at 20 on the volume dial with the Kenwoods as I did at 28 with the factory speakers. This is a no-brainer upgrade. You won't believe the difference until you do it. Factory screws are actually torque screws so be sure to pick up a set of torque screwdrivers. You can literally install these in 20 minutes and take your time. The Crutchfield adapter wiring is a must on any speaker installation.

Pros:

Great bass - gets the rear-view mirror thumping, crisp highs, good fit, right on the price. Free shipping, and wiring harness are the best.

Cons:

lacks just a little bit of mid-range.

These speakers sound great for the price! I replaced my 2 front speakers in a '08 Tundra. It takes modification work (Crutchfield warned me), but they will fit and sound great. I think a new HU would make a big difference in sound quality. That is my next purchase!
