Posi-Products connectors help make your electrical connections fast, easy, and reliable with no crimping, soldering, or messy tape. Just strip your stranded wires, insert them in the caps, and then hand tighten the two caps together — the wire ends get locked between opposing cone shapes to create a water-, dirt-, vibration-, and heat-proof housing. You get a strong, low-resistance electrical connection, and you can reuse the connectors, too.

The Mobile Electronics Series Connector Kits come with various assortments of special Posi-Lock® and Posi-Tap™ connectors with gold-plated contacts to integrate your aftermarket equipment into your vehicle's electrical system. Experienced installers have selected the contents of each kit carefully, so you can be sure you'll have all the right connectors necessary to get the job done.

This Car Stereo Connector Kit comes with 16 Posi-Twist™ connectors — enough to hook up the speakers, power, and accessories in most car stereo installations. Warranty: 30 days.

Features

Overview: This kit comes with sixteen Posi-Twist connectors for installing an aftermarket head unit in your vehicle. Posi-Twist connectors replace old-fashioned wire nuts and crimp caps with stronger, more reliable connections. These connectors are compatible with two 18-20 gauge wires, up to four 22 gauge wires, up to five 24 gauge wires, and up to six 26 gauge wires. Just strip your stranded wires, insert them in the caps, and then hand tighten the two caps together - the wire ends are locked between opposing cone shapes to create a dirt-, vibration-, and heat-proof housing. The connectors are also reusable.

These were by far the easiest connector for splicing stereo wires I have ever seen I would definitely use again especially since the connections can be undone for upgrades and the like.

I gave this item 4 stars, because i think soldering or a crimp should deserve 5 stars. that being said, these work excellently. solid electrical connections. make sure to wrap the wires together in a "righty-tighty" fashion that way the screw-on cap doesn't undo the winding. this item holds secure if done correctly. make sure you give a nice firm tug to each wire after completion to ensure it stays together.

incredibly easy to use with little practice, secure connection

it's sure not a crimp or solder connection

These are a god send. Not sure about the long term, since I used them for the first time today, but the connection seems extremely tight. Just strip, twist, cap and screw on the connector. Done.

Strip, twist and lock...securely splice two wires in about 20 seconds. The only trouble I ran into is that the number of wires you may splice in one lock is limited by the diameter, but that never caused me a problem.

I borrowed a wire stripper to wire a harness for receiver installation. These connectors were a dream. No soldering or crimping necessary. Just twist your wires, insert them into the bottom of the connector, and screw on the top. Presto! Done.

If you don't plan to solder your wiring, consider these as an option to crimping your wires together. Easy to use, and if you make a wring mistake, you can unscrew and reuse the connector. Made im install so much easier!
