Reference speakers play your music boldly and cleanly, making your listening time more enjoyable. Reference speakers feature low impedance so they extract maximum power from any amplifier or car stereo. Infinity makes their Plus One+ woofers 30% larger than other speakers in the same size category. As a result, you'll enjoy deeper bass and higher efficiency for an impressive performance. The textile dome tweeters feature oversized voice coils that match the tweeters' diameter, a design that provides more surface area for heat dissipation and allows higher power handling. You can adjust the sound to your liking with the tweeter level control. In addition, you can swivel the tweeters up to 350 degrees, aiming them directly at you for a more focused soundstage. You'll hear smoother, more accurate response, with more sparkle and detail in your music. Important Note: These Infinity speakers use a low impedance design to pull more power safely from your car stereo or amplifier. This design is compatible with all factory and aftermarket stereos. Features Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency. Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output. Textile Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses an edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot design allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listeners location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response. The tweeter housing can be turned approximately 315 degrees. Note: The tweeters are not made to turn 360 degrees. If they are turned 360 degrees or more, they will be damaged. Tweeter Level Control: A switch on the front of the tweeter housing allows you to boost the tweeter output 3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed. I know a thing or 2 about car audio, and i know that 99% of the time, putting aftermarket speakers to a factory deck will result in a disappointment. Not these. All four speakers in our expy had finally started distorting, and i didnt want to go crazy, i just wanted to replace the speakers. I looked around, then came upon these. 2ohm. I figured these might actually work out nice. They ROCK big time. The bass is crazy, you can hear it from like half a block away. they're CRAZY loud and clear. the highs are incredible. I dont think i have ever been so pleased with a speaker. WELL worth the money. These fit perfect in the front. in the back, you need to use the foam it comes with so you can elevate it a bit, its very shallow back there. but they DO fit. this was in a standard factory system, no mach audio. just the premium sound or whatever its called. I still cant believe my ears, dont think twice! Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great sounding Speakers Written By Baiju, Orange County, CA on Thursday, September 10, 2009 I installed these in my 1998 Ford Explorer. They sound way better than the stock speakers. They are much more clear than the the factory speakers that were in the Explorer. As many other reviewers said they do not produce a lot of bass, but for driving to and from work it is plenty for me. I would definitely recommend purchasing these speakers. 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I was a little worried about removing the entire door panels to install these but crutchfield's details were flawless and had all 4 changed out in about an hour. Get these if you just want great sound at reasonable volumes. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? They didn't make much of a difference from the drivers seat. Can't be heard over the the stock door speakers unless you fade the fronts way out. Waste of money for me, might be more impressed if they were driven by more than the Hyundai factory CD player. Was this review helpful? I chose these because of the price, and the Infinity name. I also installed the baffles behind the speakers to keep them clean and dry. When I first powered them up, I could not believe how much better and more powerful the sound was. I have heard from some people that these were not the greatest speakers, but I am very impressed. Sound quality is unmatched when compared to the originals. Installation was (of course) a breeze utilizing the Crutchfield wiring harness adapters and instructions. If you want really good speakers then look no further than theses babies. Was this review helpful?
