Power Ratings: The Sound Ordnance M-2100 is a two-channel
Class AB amplifier with an RMS power rating of 75 watts per channel into 4
ohms, and 100 watts per channel into 2 ohms. The amp can also be bridged into a
4-ohm load for a power rating of 200 watts. Power ratings are measured with an
input power of 14.4 volts.
Crossovers: The M-2100 is equipped with both high-pass and
low-pass crossovers. You can set the low-pass cutoff frequency between 50Hz and
250Hz, and the high-pass cutoff frequency between 80Hz and 2kHz. A 3-way switch
lets you select low-pass, high-pass, or full range operation. The crossovers have
a 12dB per octave slope.
Super Bass: The amplifier has a bass boost switch, labeled
Super Bass, to give small subwoofers more volume in the low frequencies. You can
select the amount of boost with the 3-way switch: 0dB, 6dB, or 12dB.
LED Indicators: The M-2100 features two LED indicators: a green
LED that illuminates when the amp is powered on, and a red LED that illuminates when
the amplifier is in protect mode due to overheating or a short circuit in the speaker
wire.
