A circular polarizing filter is a must for any photographer who shoots outdoors on sunny days in other words, just about all of you. It reduces glare and surface reflections on shiny objects, and deepens the color of skies, foliage and water by reducing the amount of scattered, multi-directional rays of sunlight reaching the sensor.
These filters are made to exacting standards. The glass is specially blended for optimal optical results, and the careful multi-coating process minimizes any reflections from the glass that might cause flaring or ghosting. A rigid, protective aluminum frame keeps the filter firmly in place, and the low profile makes it compatible with many super- and ultra-wide angle lenses that otherwise might not be able to accommodate a filter.
