The BDI Avion Series II lowboy cabinet rests on a sturdy stainless steel base and easily supports a flat-panel or rear-projection TV with a screen size of up to 60". With an optional Arena 9972 free-standing bracket, you can even mount your flat-panel TV above the cabinet without drilling into your wall.

Design features

Glass-panel doors elegantly show off your system and allow remote control signals to pass through to your gear. The center drawer has a cloth panel, and can hold a center channel speaker in front, plus DVDs or Blu-ray discs behind its divider.

Concealed ventilation slots keep your gear running cool, even with the doors closed. Hidden wheels built into the frame let you easily move the cabinet away from the wall for cleaning your system or hooking up a new component.

Overview: The BDI Avion Series II 8927is a three compartment wide home theater cabinet with integrated center channel speaker and media storage. The versatile center drawer conceals a center channel speaker (up to 7.25" tall) and media storage, or may be removed for speakers up to 8.25" tall.

TV Compatibility: The BDI Avion Series II 8927 can accommodate up to a 60" flat-panel television.

Adjustable Shelves: Adjustable shelves allow you to configure the Avion Series II 8927 to accommodate your larger audio/video components.

Tempered Glass: BDI's glass shelves and doors are virtually shatterproof, allowing you to use them for your larger, heavier audio/video components.

IR-Friendly Glass: The tempered glass doors keep components out of sight, yet are compatible with the infrared (IR) signals used by many remote controls.

Concealed Speaker Compartment: The BDI Avion Series II 8927 stand features a multi-function drawer/compartment which includes a fabric insert for use with concealed speakers.

Flow-Through Ventilation: Flow-through ventilation promotes air flow, prolonging component life.

Cable Management: You can keep your system's wires and cords controlled and out of sight using the A/V stand's integrated wire management features.

Sliding Back Panel: The A/V stand's back-panel slides for easy access to cables and connections. The back panel may be left off to accommodate oversized components.

Hidden Wheels: Hidden wheels allow the system to be rolled away from the wall for easy access to cables and connections.

Integrated Levelers: Easily adjustable levelers are built into the A/V stand's leg assembly which can be used to accommodate uneven floors or to lift a cabinet off of its wheels.

Finishes: The BDI Avion Series II 8927 is available in a espresso stained oak or natural stained cherry finish.

Arena TV Mount 9972 Compatible: The BDI Avion 8927 can be used in conjunction with the BDI Arena 9972 TV mount to suspend your flat-panel television above the A/V stand, so you can use the 8927's top shelf for your center-channel speaker or other audio/video component.

Love the cabinet. the attention to detail is remarkable, from the soft-closing doors to the ventalated shelves. It is every bit as well crafted as it is beautiful to look at.

BDI has created a beautiful and highly functional piece of A/V furniture. The cherry finish is stunning and the construction is solid. The ventilation, movable shelves, center speaker drawer, removable sliding back panels, not to mention the hidden wheels, make this a breeze to install and wire up your HT. You get what you pay for in this piece. Of course Crutchfield service and support was top notch as usual.

Excellent furniture

Attractive and well-made piece of furniture. The minimal assembly is pretty easy. Be forewarned that because it's pretty solid, it weighs quite a bit (about 200lbs I think). It ships in amazing packaging, I think they could have dropped it from a plane and it would have been fine. I went for the espresso color figuring in a dark home theater room it would blend in better. These are expensive units, but well worth it. The wood and the hardware (hinges, handles, legs, wheels) are solid and well-made. Their marketing says it's designed by electronics people, and I'm inclined to agree. It's designed for good ventilation and easy management of wires and connections. Very pleased.
