Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a very solid built cable. The only issue I had was that there were no instructions stating to crimp the blue wire into the harness (matching the "Accessory" cable). The radio will still work but the reception is almost non-existent. Don't forget to do this like I did. Not worth taking a star off for my own stupidity though.
Pros:
Quality built cable
Cons:
Non-specific instructions

Antenna Adapter Review

Written By Joe, Arcadia, FL on Friday, February 01, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After I installed my head unit, I noticed that my radio reception was terrible. I neglected to connect the blue wire to the remote turn on wire, I figured I didn't need to because my antenna is not motorized. YOU CANNOT skip the blue wire. You must attach it to your head unit on either the blue/white remote turn on lead or the blue accessory lead. Without doing that, your reception will be terrible (but will work) and may make you think it's your radio or speakers. No idea how it fixes it, but it seems to be a common issue with the Nissan antennas/adapters. Coupled with the new HU, it makes a huge improvement in existing reception over the old HU."

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This adapter fit our 2008 Nissan Xterra perfectly. We did not connect the blue wire to anything though, because I don't think it's necessary. FM radio works fine, we haven't tried AM.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Matched the 2010 Altima's factory antenna connector and the radio plug-in connector exactly. Don't have a power antenna, so the blue wire wasn't needed (just taped it closed).
Pros:
Exact fit.
Cons:
none.
