    Features

Clamp-style Speaker Mounting: Speakers are held in place using two adjustable side clamps, so you do not need to use screws. When installed on the side clamps, the included Ultragrip pads allow the side clamps to grip the sides of a speaker securely, with relatively little pressure. If desired, screws may be used with the five security screw holes on each bracket to attach the brackets to the speaker sides or bottom.

Speaker Compatibility: Each bracket will hold speakers from 5.5" to 11" wide, up to 13" deep, and up to 20" high. The bracket will hold speakers up to 55 lbs.

Tilt and Swivel Adjustability: The bracket platforms may be turned to the left or right (180 degrees), and may be tilted from -7 degrees below to 7 degrees above horizontal.

Materials: The bracket parts and wall plate are made of metal finished in a smooth satin black. The ball joint end cap is plastic.

    Installation Notes

Wall Mounting: The included wall screws are 1.25" long. These brackets should be attached to a wall stud, concrete, or brick. Wall anchors are provided for use with the wall screws when mounting the brackets to concrete or brick.

    Second times the Charm

Written By Paul V., Sacramento, CA on Friday, November 06, 2009
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just purchased my second set of B-Tech BT77 speaker wall mounts. While
I wish that the bracket could hold the speaker with out the addition of using
the supplied small screws, the three small holes that I drilled into the bottom
of my speakers were necessary to give me the security I needed to know
that they are mounted until I choose to move them.
The BT77 speaker mounts are the best deal I have found for the money
and they look fantastic as well or I would not have ordered a second set.
The B-Tech wall mounts for speakers are a great product, they are simple
to install and easy to adjust for that sweet listening spot.

Beware of the clamps they slip easily (Very Insecure)

Written By Arshad, Minneapolis, MN on Monday, April 20, 2009
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought them as there is no other wall mount on the market that will hold heavy speakers.
My speaker did not have any holes to tie it down to the brackets so I clamped them as tight as possible.
My speaker fell of the clamp one night and damaged the speakers. Luckily the speakers are working but it damaged the cabinet. Here went my $900 speakers.

The clamps are very lousy and does not hold the speaker if you tilt them.
To make it more secure I bought a plastic picture hanging wire and tied it down to the binding post.

I guess if you advertise the mount to hold 55lbs speaker make a way to hold them securely without drilling holes. Nobody want to ruin speaker cabinets by drilling holes.
In the future I would look for other wall mounts if available.

    Don't trust the clamps

Written By Daniel, Schaumburg, IL on Monday, April 13, 2009
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought a pair of these bookshelf speaker clamps. Just be careful about the angle that the speaker gets adjusted to. I only clamped a 16lb speaker on these brackets and did not want to put screws into the cabinet. Big mistake. One of the speakers fell out of the clamp one night. Big boom. Speaker cabinet only took a couple of dings to it. Hooked the speaker back up and only the tweeter was working. Pulled the woofer out and the magnet was pulled away from the cone???....tried to get everything back aligned but no help. Now buying another bookshelf speaker. I have since put a screw into the bottom of the bracket and into the speaker cabinet. Don't just trust the clamps.

I purchased these stands hoping they could support my Polk LSI 9's. These stands were perfect in every sense of the word. I mounted the stands got the correct tilt, put the speakers in, adjusted the bracket to fit the bottom of the speakers and that's when the magic happened.

These wall mounts are the perfect solution for mounting bookshelf speakers. They are solidly built and work well. I especially like that the mount can rotate 180 degrees and tilt downward towards the sitting/listening position. Great product.

Finish up my Home theatre install

Written By Rene, Los Angeles CA on Tuesday, April 22, 2008
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I recently installed my Home Theatre System with some JBL surround speakers with build in brackets . These did not work to my satisfaction and distorted with high audio levels . I work for JBL and was able to purchase a 3 speaker set , 1 center and 2 surrounds , through my work. The surrounds did not have brackets so I did some research online and found the BT-77 brackets and ordered these . They arrived shortly & I was impressed with the design and quality . I had them installed in less than an hour .
I needed a speaker bracket with a large turning circle which these have .
Now my Home Theatre System is complete & sound awsome . Thanks

I was finishing the upgrades in my speakers and wanted to mount a pair of Klipsch RB-35's on the wall. All the other wall mounts I found were for speakers that weigh 8 lbs or less. With 24 lb speakers, well you get the picture. These mounts are great. You can mount the speakers at the angles you need and not put holes in the speaker cabinets to screw the brackets in place.

These were a great find for my application.

I used these to mount a pair of Polk RTi4s. They were easy to install and look nice too. As others have stated, small screws (3 are supply per speaker. I used only 1.) are used to secure the speakers to the mount when you need to tilt them down but they are small screws and better a small hole in the bottom of the speaker than coming home to find your speakers smashed on the floor.

I purchased a set of these speaker brackets for an older pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers that I am using as surrounds in my media room. They are very positionable, secure, complement the decor of the room, and, best yet, don't violate my wood cabinets. Highly recommended!

    Nearly Perfect

Written By erlebc, Endicott, NY on Thursday, February 01, 2007
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are great Speaker mounts. Very solidly made and I have no doubt will last longer than I do. My only reason for not providing a 5 out of 5 stars is that if you wish to give a slight downward tilt to the speaker angle (as I needed to) you will want to use the included screws to secure them to the mounts. After just spending several hundred dollars on new speakers I was not about to screw into them and ruin the cabinets. I wish there were a small lip on the mount base which could provide the security of holding the speaker in place for tilting them facing downward. I ended up putting a little extra pressure on the mount which squeezes the speaker cabinet laterally and it is working. I just don't have the downward angle I really wanted, but it's working out fine.
Other than that these stands were easy to install and pretty easy to adjust.

Super Strong, easy to install, but BIG

Written By Dave, Gainesville, FL on Friday, January 26, 2007
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have these for mounting my Inifinity Primus C160s. These mounts are able to handle the weight with absolutely no trouble.

I would like the vertical adjustment to be a little greater but the 7 degrees seems to be an industry maximum/standard. I have to mount fairly high on the wall so I could use some extra vertical movement.

Installation is effortless with one caveat. The included screws are a little short. I measured them at about 1.25". The thickness of the bracket is about 1/8". Add that to the almost 7/8" of drywall and paint(in my house) the screw has to go through before reaching the stud and I wasn't too comfortable with hanging my speakers almost 7 feet off the floor. $1.50 for 2" screws and problem solved. It may not have been a problem but still, how much more would it cost the manufacturer to include some longer screws.

Also, I only received enough security screws for one mount plus 1 screw for the other mount. Trust me, the speakers will slide if the mount is tilted down and you don't use the security screws. I would have preferrd a front stop built into the mount instead of screwing into my speaker cabinets but that would probably have limited which speakers would fit.

Overall, these things are terrific and do what they are supposed to do but, like most things, they are not perfect.

I bought these brackets for my Polk Monitor 40 speakers, and they're phenominal. Easy to install, hold the weight perfectly with 4 mounting screws, and have a great look to them with a simple and slick looking cover plate for the bracket that attaches to the wall. Couldn't be happier.

I knew I was probably in trouble when my better half insisted I wall mount my main speakers. They're cube shaped and weigh a little more than 25 pounds. Doing extensive internet searching, this was the only solution I could find, and these brackets are awesome. Solid as a rock, secure, well made. I highly recommend them!
