Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab

I read a lot of reviews from Ram owners, and Kicker seemed to be the speaker of choice for the 3rd gen quad cab. I can see why. When I installed these speakers (along with a pair of Kicker 40CS6034's), I discovered that a previous owner had already replaced the factory speakers with a set of infiniti's, so I didn't expect much improvement. But the Kickers have a cleaner, richer sound with a lot more bottom end. They're a great upgrade, and I wouldn't hesitate to tell another Ram owner to step up to these speakers.

I read some good reviews on these so I purchased them. I am a sound designer, so I would not settle for half decent sound, but I was on a tight budget for my car stereo. Could not be happier! These speakers have beautiful crystal clear highs, and a nice deep punchy bass. I can turn them up until my ears almost start to bleed and the sound does not deteriorate. Obviously these are not going to rattle your car with bass, but if you have a sub these speakers will work wonders. There are better speakers out there, for a higher price, but if you are trying to stay on a low budget, these are the speakers for you! I would definitely recommend these and buy them again.

Beautiful crystal clear highs, punchy lows, great price!

2004 pontiac vibe with 6 speaker and amp all factory moon and tunes package.rear speakers were getting bad. the kicker speakers are clean sounding. they offer NO bass though. the factory speakers have a lot !! more bass then these(vibrated the rear view mirror) and for crappy paper they sounded great too. sadly disappointed. customer service said it would take a couple of weeks. still no change. i expected alot from kicker and the reviews. i'm wondering if people who reviewed know what bass is. i've always liked crutchfield customer service and helpfulness - never a problem there.

no bass. factory speaker bass is wonderful for factory speakers.

Dont pass these up

Replaced the 4 factory speakers in my 05 Liberty with these beasts, ran them with a sony deck and they pumped out remarkable sounds and power at only 17rms. then upgraded to a alpine power pack, pushing 45x4 and the true sounds became not only much louder but crystal clear as well. any and everything from metal to rap and you'll be heard from a distance pumping out super loud music and crystal clear sounds. The clarity is just amazing with these. You obviously wont get mirror shaking bass but your music will be insanely clear, sharp, and you will not be disappointed what so ever. If you're not pleased with their sound, simply run more juice through them, the sound as well as clarity jump sky high when ran with proper wattages.

awesome sound for the price...too easy to install...handles tons of power... crystal clear...extremely loud

I got these for the rear deck of my 2004 Dodge Stratus and they are amazing!! I have Kicker KS525's in the front doors and a JBL amplified sub for the bass. The sound from these speakers is amazing. The highs and vocals come through with crystal clarity. I can't believe how much better these sound than the factory speakers. I've heard many brands before but these are the best. Get these and you will love them!!!!!

Good replacement speakers. I used a little too much amplifier with them but so long as the gain is low I get clear mids and highs.

first off the package was delivered a day early, which was sweet. The install instructions were a little vague, the bracket on the picture and the one they send you look completely different. There's a tab on the bracket you have to break off for it to fit flush to the door. I actually got away with not having to drill any holes into my door thanks to that speaker bracket. The wire harness was great as well. Overall install time was approx 45-50 minutes with my cousins help. Now the sound: versatile. I listen to all types of music and each one sounded sick on these speakers, just tweek the eq to your liking. there is a little distortion in sound with high volume and high bass but just turn the bass down a tad and you'll get to a pretty awesome medium.

slight distortion at high volumes with bass

My friend has these & the kicker ks525 speakers in his 99 buick regal ...these are used in the rear deck with a 6x9 kit to make these fit in 6x9 openings ...I went with these 4 my 98 regal also because u get a more solid bass response with round speakers then u would 6x9s...this is my 1st time using kicker, but i do know a lot about them...will install my speakers etc. In 2013.. Trust me with a amp these lil guys kick real nice & nice bang 4 the buck...Crutchfield is the best I have been getting their magazines for many years & finally i make my 1st order....thanks tommy

Great Speakers

For everyone concerned with the bass output of the speakers, here's some feedback. My goal was to replace my stereo and speakers in my vehicle. In order to determine the performance of the speakers, versus the performance of the stereo itself and to address the comments about poor bass output of these speakers, I replaced the speakers first and did a listen test. As others have commented, just switching out the speakers did very little to the sound quality in the car. The bass output was terrible. I then replaced the car stereo with a JVC KDR730T unit. Not anything too expense or powerful, but wow, did it make a difference. The sound came alive and the speakers sounded nothing like when they were connected to the old unit. These speakers do a great job for the size and price! If you have poor results from replacing your speakers, don't blame them until you upgrade what drives them.

Proof is in the pudding...

02 Jeep Wrangler with overhead Soundbar. What a difference?!!! I upgraded from stock speakers and head unit a few weeks apart. Old head unit with new speakers still impressive but, when the new unit came the true brilliance came clean. My sound engineer friend took a ride for beer and I gave him the goods at top volumn. The look on his face was worth it all. Quoted "the more you turn it up.. it just keeps getting clearer and clearer... and not distorted at all?!" High def was the only description that comes to mind. Rap, Rock, and very textured electronic Dubstep sound incredible.

Now, I have to add. I do not expect low bass or much low/mid-bass. I have a 10" sub that fills in the rest. These are incredible with the proper complimenting speakers/subwoofers. If you do not have a subwoofer, don't expect to be bumping but, you will be screaming.

Pros:

RMS is above standard head unit output. Turn it up without fear, in fact, you'll love it.

Cons:

Jeep wrangler soundbar holes do not line up exactly. Have some patience and they will work.

My stock spkrs had more bass then these new Kickers. I'm just using the stock radio & was hoping for alot more sound then the 15yr old spkrs that came with the truck. These are mounted in the door. I bought these spkers after seeing they had about the lowest freq response of most 6.5". But I really don't hear much bottom (if any) at all from these. For the price paid, I was expecting much more. Crutchfield needs to be more clear on the spker brackets required for 6.5" spkers. Their site said I needed them for my S-10 having me believe there was some kind of difference. My orignal factory brackets worked just fine for these Kickers. I could have saved $ buying them from another site without brackets.

Pros:

Fit opening.

Cons:

Bass non-existent.

During my search for a good pair of speakers to match up with my amp, I think i went through every different type of speaker crutchfield had to offer on there website. Then with some help from one of the advisors (Troy) he suggested the Kicker KS60 and honestly these speakers blew my ears out of the water once they were set up with all the right adjustments on the amp and head unit. The most brilliantly sounding highs and firm mid-bass a 2 way coaxial could throw at you for only $100 bucks a pair. I am very very happy with these speakers

I bought 2 pairs of these for my honda fit. I put 2 in the front doors, and 2 in the rear doors. The sound is WAY better then the stock speakers my car came with. I also have a Kenwood 5 channel amp powering up these 4 speakers as well as a 12 inch sub in my trunk. Put some power on these babies, they'll sound good. Great overall product IMO.

The Kicker KS60s replaced the front door speakers in my 07 Camry and were a definite improvement over the stock speakers. Very efficient, they don't require a lot of power to reach high volume levels and put out a nice, smooth sound. Not too harsh on the high end , nor muddy with the low end. I would like some more Kickers for the rear deck, if they would fit.

Exactly what I expected with much better mid range response than factory. These replaced front door units on a 06 accord that has a factory component setup. I chose just to replace the door speakers first. I am happy with highs from the factory and didn't want to cut my interior for the extra tweeter. It doesn't make sense for me to attempt to replace the factory tweeter. Paired with these, the music has more clarity. There was no noticable jump in base response because these are not amped yet. A powered sub will be next.
