A fun, portable, practical touchscreen satellite radio
The SiriusXM Lynx is one cool cat. It lets you take SiriusXM with you everywhere you go, whether you’re relaxing at home, out for a jog, or driving your car. It’s small, easy to carry, and fun to use. And it's also very versatile — you can listen to live satellite radio while it’s docked, listen to SiriusXM Internet Radio over Wi-Fi®, and play your MP3s.
We gave J.R., a Supervisor in Crutchfield’s Advisor group and long-time satellite radio fan, a Lynx to check out recently. He took it with him everywhere he went, and let us know what he thought. One of his favorite features: “I really like that it has built-in Wi-Fi, because it gives me access to all the SiriusXM channels I can only get on the Internet.”
The Lynx features a beautiful touchscreen and an intuitive interface. You can listen live over the air with an optional kit, or over a Wi-Fi® network. And you can stream audio to the home dock or compatible headphones with the built-in Bluetooth® connectivity.
The Lynx records your favorite channels automatically while you’re receiving a live satellite radio signal, storing up to 200 hours of entertainment.
"The screen is beautiful, and I get valuable info like signal strength and station category."
J.R. uses the optional car kit to play the Lynx in his truck. “I love the knob on the car dock,” he says. “It makes changing stations much easier and safer.”
The Lynx can keep J.R. company when he hits the gym, using the gym’s Wi-Fi or by playing recorded content. With so many music channels to choose from, you can bet he’ll find the perfect tunes to rock his workout.
A cool co-worker
J.R. uses the SXABB2 boombox to listen at work. He can enjoy satellite radio using the boombox’s antenna, listen to SiriusXM Internet Radio over Wi-Fi, or tap into his recorded content.
Unwinding over a cup of joe
J.R. can tap into his local coffee shop’s Wi-Fi network and listen to SiriusXM Internet Radio.
On the move
The slim-profile Lynx can slip into J.R.’s pocket when he heads for the airport. With up to 200 hours of recorded content available, plus the ability to play his favorite MP3s, it makes any trip fly by.
Relaxing at home
Since both the Lynx and its optional home dock have Bluetooth, J.R. can pick up the Lynx and relax on the couch — while it continues to play on his home stereo.
J.R.'s verdict: this one's one-of-a-kind
J.R. has been a satellite radio subscriber for a long, long time, and he's owned his share of radios. For him, the Lynx fits in its own category. "No other satellite radio can do what the Lynx does — especially Wi-Fi capability. For me, that's what really sets it apart." He's also been using it in the home dock. "I'm teaching a training class, and I set up the Lynx so the class could listen to SiriusXM. I even ran an antenna up on the roof to get a live signal. It'll be tough to give up the Lynx when my trial period is over."
