Inputs and Outputs Notes
Circuits: This amp has three types of
protection circuits: DC offset, short circuit, and thermal protection. The
Power/Protection LED on the left side of the amplifier will glow red to indicate
that the amplifier has gone into protection.
Channels 1 and 2 have a high-pass filter. The high-pass
filter can be adjusted from 80 Hz to 1.2 kHz and has a slope of 12 dB per octave.
The high-pass filter can be turned on or off.
Channels 3 and 4 have a low-pass filter. The low-pass
filter can be adjusted from 50 to 250 Hz and has a slope of 12 dB per octave.
The low-pass filter can be turned on or off.
Treble Boost: For added high
frequency performance, Channels 1 and 2 have a selectable treble boost
centered at 8 kHz. The boost can be set to 0, 6, or 12 dB.
Bass Boost: For added low
frequency performance, Channels 3 and 4 have a selectable bass boost
centered at 45 Hz. The boost can be set to 0, 6, or 12 dB.
Line Outputs: The amp includes
a pair of RCA line outputs for sending an unfiltered signal to another amplifier
or component without splitting the signal.
Inputs and Outputs
Gold-plated Terminals: The
HA1040 features gold-plated speaker and power terminals and RCA jacks for
maximum signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
Set Screw Terminals: The power,
ground, remote turn-on, and speaker output connections feature set-screw
terminals. The power and ground terminals are 0.431" wide, while the remote
turn-on and speaker terminals are 0.311" wide.
Remote Turn-on: In addition to
turning on and turning off the amplifier via the head unit's remote output, the
remote turn-on also operates the reset circuit for the amplifier's protection
system. The remote turn-on lead must be connected to the head unit in order to
reset the protection circuits.
