Overview: For
whole-house audio distribution, the Denon
POA-3012CI provides you with a host of configuration and control
options, including the ability to provide multiple mono, stereo and bridged
(high power) outputs to drive speakers anywhere in your home. Each of the unit's
12 power amplifier channels features the latest digital amplifier technology for
superb sound along with cooler running and reliability. Each channel is rated at
30 watts (8 ohms), with assured reliability 4 ohms drive capability. For more
output, channel pairs can be bridged, providing 100 watts output (8 ohms), ideal
for driving in-wall subwoofers. Designed for easy setup and installation, the
POA-3012CI features front panel
controls for configuration, level setting, and other adjustment options, along
with a front panel lock control that prevents inadvertent usage. The unit's rear
panel's Ethernet IP port features web-enabled setup and configuration, and an
RS-232C serial port provides additional control options.

Features
Custom Integration: The POA-3012CI carries the "CI" stamp,
which is Denon's certification to custom installers that the preamplifier has
advanced connectivity and control features often required for custom home
integration and theater applications using premium control systems. These
features include RS232C jacks for use with whole house control systems, remote
in/out IR command control, and assignable +12-volt triggers.
High Quality Digital Amplifiers: The Denon POA-3012CI is equipped with
high quality digital amplifiers for a 12 channel independent module design. The
POA-3012CI offers 30 watts x 12 channel in 8 ohms and 100 Watts x 6 channels in
8 ohms bridged. The amplifier can accommodate speakers 4 to 16 ohm in Normal
mode and 8 to 16 ohm in Bridged mode.
Six Zone: The Denon POA-3012CI allows you to play the same audio
source or a different audio source in up to six rooms of your home in Normal
stereo mode. In Bridged mode, only one channel is output for each of the six
zones or two channels in only three zones.
Independent Volume Control: Each zone's volume can be controlled
independently from the POA-3012CI's front-panel controls.
Low Cut Filter: This feature cuts the low frequency component of each
channel.
Home Network Function: The POA-3012CI is equipped with an Ethernet
port which lets you control the POA-3012CI from your PC using Microsoft
Internet Explorer. The POA-3012CI does not come with an Ethernet cable
and requires a CAT-5 cable with an RJ-45 connector for connection. When
connecting the POA-3012CI to your home network, you will need a router with a
built-In DHCP sever and 100 BASE-TX switch. Once connected to your network, you
can use Microsoft Internet Explorer to operate the POA-3012CI from your PC. Your
computer must meet the following requirements to connect to the POA-3012CI:
- OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista
- Internet Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later
- Connection: LAN port
Dimmer Mode: The POA-3012CI has an adjustable display brightness
(Bright, Dim, Dark or Off).

Bus Input/Output: The
POA-3012CI features stereo gold-plated RCA connectors to input an audio signal
to all channels of the amplifier. The unit also features stereo
gold-plated RCA connector to output the audio signal from the POA-3012CI to
another amplifier.
Audio Inputs: The POA-3012CI features a single gold-plated
RCA-type for each of the amplifier's 12 channels so you can have an independent
audio signal in each zone.
Speaker Outputs: The multi-channel amplifier features
a pair of gold-plated binding posts for each of the amplifier's 12 channels. They
are not 5-way binding posts because a plastic collar prevents their use with
spade lugs and they are positioned too far apart to be used with dual banana
plugs.
Six Trigger Inputs: The POA-3012CI has six 3.5mm mini-jack inputs to
receive a 12-Volt DC "turn-on" from a connected unit with a 12-Volt DC output.
When the equipment connected by this terminal is powered on/off, the power of
this amplifier is changed from on/standby.
Master Trigger Input/Output: The power of an external device equipped
with a trigger input jack can be turned on and off in association with
operations on the POA-3012CI.
RS322C Port: The POA-3012C includes a single RS-232C port for
connection to external whole-house control systems, from companies such as AMX,
Crestron, and others, and provides a software/firmware upgrade pathway.
