This vehicle-specific wiring harness makes connections between your new car stereo and your car's electrical system.

First, attach the color-coded wires on your Crutchfield harness to the wires from your new stereo. If you don't know how to use a soldering iron, we recommend that you purchase some wire connectors that you'll use to attach the Crutchfield harness to your factory harness.

Now, once this harness is connected to your new stereo, you'll be able to plug right into your car's factory radio connector. This harness makes installing your new stereo easier, and allows you to put the factory radio back when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. A detailed instruction sheet comes with the harness. Warranty: 60 days.

Please read this important note: This harness may not contain provisions for every wire needed to complete your installation, and it will not accommodate special navigation, video, or factory steering wheel control connections. You will need a special adapter if you want your factory steering wheel audio controls to work with your new stereo.

Connections:

Notes: You'll need to connect the receiver's ground wire to either the braided strap inside the dash, or to the ground wire, or you may need to make a new ground connection to your car's chassis. On some vehicles, you may have a common ground. If so, the speaker negatives are electrically the same for the left and right side speakers. Most aftermarket receivers (and all that Crutchfield sells) will need an additional adapter, or you may run new speaker wires from your receiver to the speakers - see "Accessories" for speaker wire.

Infinity Sound System Notes: If your vehicle has the Infinity system, you'll connect the blue wire from the Crutchfield harness to the amp remote wire from the new receiver. There also may be a second wire, usually green/black, attached to the factory radio chassis with the braided strap. If so, this is the ground for the Infinity amplifier(s), and it must be attached to the braided strap and the replacement receiver's ground wire.
