Features
Overview: The Niles Audio
ABA-1D is a push-button switcher that allows you to select between two different
amplifiers or receivers to play through a single pair of speakers. You can also
configure it to allow you to select between two pairs of speakers from a single
amplifier or receiver. The switcher is designed to be wall-mounted in a 1-gang
P-Ring or J-Box at least 2-1/2" deep.
Operation: The switcher has a
spring-loaded, 2-position push-button. Press once and the button locks in the
"in" position. Press again and the button pops out to the "out" position.
Contacts: The switcher has
self-cleaning, silver-plated contacts, ensuring many years of trouble-free
operation. They are 100% electrical and acoustical tested for frequency
response, distortion, and power handling.
Power Handling: The ABA-1D can
handle up to 350 watts per channel.
Connectors: The ABA-1D has
three pairs of speaker connectors labeled "A", "Common", and "B". The connectors
can accommodate up to 14-gauge wire. The connectors are tightened with a
standard 1/8" slotted screwdriver.
Decora Style: The switcher is
constructed with a Decora-style faceplate and insert. The button and insert are
removable for quick and easy color change.
