Growing up near Kansas City, I listened to music the way most of us do when we're younger: "Is that Night Ranger, man? Turn it up!" I can still remember the moment it hit me that there was so much more out there, waiting for me. A friend put on a recording of the Count Basie Orchestra playing "April in Paris", and that huge sound just blew me away. I think we listened to that track ten times in a row, picking up something new every time.
After that, I was a goner. I volunteered to be a DJ at the college radio station, and that turned into a regular gig at the local NPR station. I learned how to mix and record sound, picked out tracks to play on-air, and best of all, I got to explore and enjoy great music every day. Over the years, I've worked in several other industries, but music has been a constant thread that keeps me anchored to my first love. Being at Crutchfield allows me to make great sound part of my daily life again, and I love sharing that passion with our customers.

Knowledge and personality, that's what you want in a customer representative. And truthfully, that's why a lot of us use Crutchfield. Well, when you talk to Tommy, you're getting the best that Crutchfield has to offer.
He gave me great advice, helped me reach my decision, and had a great time doing it.
We were even recounting life stories while doing the order processing.
If I met Tommy in person, I'd go out for a beer or four with him and talk about life... while all the while listening to Night Ranger, Tony Carey and Freedom Rock!!
