Features
Overview: The BeatBox Portable lets you take your favorite
music wherever you go. This light weight and powerful speaker dock lets you play
any song in your music library from almost any device. Its equipped with an
Apple iPod 30-pin dock connector, built-in Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm auxiliary
input. The speaker dock can operate off of battery or AC power. A remote is
included for added convenience.
Audio Technology: Advanced technologies offer
high-quality sound reproduction from a compact speaker dock.
iPod Dock: The BeatBox Portable is equipped with a top-panel, iPod
30-pin dock connector to connect your Apple iPod or iPhone. The iPod nano (7th
gen), iPod touch (5th gen), and iPhone 5 will require the Apple
Lightning to 30-pin adapter or
Lightning to 30-pin cable (both, sold separately) in order to dock with this
system. The unit supports
playback of music stored on your Apple device, as well as music apps downloaded
on your Apple device. The built-in dock will charge your iPod/iPhone while
connected and plugged into AC power. The BeatBox Portable is "Made for
iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone model functions
(as of 1/8/2012):

Note:
- *The iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), and iPhone 5 will

- Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results.
If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If
this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is
available.
Bluetooth apt-X: The BeatBox Portable uses enhanced Bluetooth
(ver. 2.1+EDR) technology to wirelessly stream music from your Apple
iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android device, Blackberry, or other Bluetooth-enabled
smartphone, tablet, etc.. The BeatBox Portable is equipped with apt-X, an audio
coding technology that works within Bluetooth to wirelessly deliver CD-quality
audio from your portable music device to the speaker dock. With apt-X, you can
listen to your digital music files in crisp, pure, and full stereo sound.
Auxiliary Input: The BeatBox Portable is fitted with a rear-panel
3.5mm input for connection of any audio source that is equipped with an audio or
headphone output.
Remote Control: The BeatBox Portable comes with an IR remote control
for wireless operation of the speaker dock. You can power the unit on/off,
adjust the volume up/down, mute the speaker dock, and select inputs from the
remote. The remote also controls basic playback functions of your docked iPod
device or Bluetooth-connected device. Playback functions include Play/Pause,
Fast Forward/Rewind, and Previous/Next Track.
Power Requirements: The BeatBox Portable operates off of 6
"D"-cell batteries (batteries not included) or standard household AC power (AC
power adapter & cord included).
