Features
Overview: The SUBX2 Portable SIRIUS Satellite Radio Boombox is designed to interface with
most SIRIUS dock-and-play radios that have the new Universal Connector. The boombox's
built-in handle, built-in speakers, integrated antenna wire management system,
and battery powered operation give your plug-and-play receiver portability, allowing you to
take the unit virtually anywhere.
Note: For the system
to work, you'll need a subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio in addition to
the SIRIUS tuner.
SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS
Satellite Radio features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed
coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality music,
and news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming.
Note: Satellite radio
service is available only within the continental United States. Service
is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.
SIRIUS Radio Compatibility: The SUBX2 Portable SIRIUS Satellite Radio
Boombox will support the following SIRIUS dock-and-play radios with the new
Universal Connector.

Note: This unit is not compatible with Sportster 3 or 4 and older
model SIRIUS radios.
Antenna: The unit comes with a
SIRIUS satellite antenna with a 19.5' cable. The antenna cable has a single SMB
connector. You must place the antenna in a location that has a relatively clear
view of the SIRIUS satellite paths. For convenience, the antenna can be placed
on a horizontal surface using its integrated four rubber feet or mounted
vertically to a wall using its four integrated keyhole slots. The antenna has the following dimensions:
Width=2.595", Height=1.4375" (3.625" with antenna raised), Depth=3.215".
Note: SIRIUS has three
satellites that fly in a figure-8 pattern that crosses the central U.S..
Antenna placement will depend upon where you live in the continental
United States.
Antenna Storage: The antenna
cradle and cable storage feature located on back of the boombox allows you to
take your antenna with you.
Auxiliary Input: This unit uses
a front panel 3.5mm mini-jack input to let you connect
additional audio components to the boombox.
Headphone Input: The boombox
features a front panel 3.5mm headphone jack out so you can listen to your SIRIUS
satellite radio stations in privacy.
Dynamic Sound: Full range sound
is provided by a 2.1 speaker system with separate tweeters, midrange speakers
and powerful subwoofer.
Bass Enhancement: The unit
feature bass enhancement technology that improves low end sound giving you
better bass response.
Power Options: The boombox can
be operated on household AC current when the supplied AC adapter is used. The
unit can also operate using 8 "D" batteries (sold separately), allowing you to take it with you
wherever you go. The batteries are automatically bypassed whenever the AC
adapter is plugged into the unit.
