Overview: The Infinity Primus
II Theater Pack is a 5-piece home theater loudspeaker system that includes four
identical bookshelf speakers and a matching center channel. The Primus II
Theater Pack is ideal for reproducing home theater and multi-channel audio
programs. The included bookshelf speakers can be placed on shelves or
wall-mounted. Add an Infinity powered subwoofer (108PS210BG,
sold separately), with its thunderous, tight, clean bass, to reproduce the full
impact and realism of today's music and movie soundtracks.

Metal Matrix Diaphragm (M.M.D.):
The Infinity Primus II Theater Pack is
a 5-piece home theater loudspeaker system utilizes M.M.D. (Metal Matrix
Diaphragm) drivers. Derived from the C.M.M.D.
material used in Infinity's flagship Cascade series, M.M.D. features a stiff
aluminum core, anodized on both sides for increased strength and rigidity. M.M.D.
transducers conduct sound faster than paper, polypropylene, and Kevlar - pushing
unwanted resonances beyond the operating range of the transducer. M.M.D. drivers
deliver crystal-clear, distortion-free sound from dynamic digital sources, even
at high listening levels.
4" Woofers: The four matching bookshelf speakers
feature a single 4" M.M.D. cone woofer, while the horizontal center-channel
speaker features dual 4" M.M.D cone woofers. The 4" M.M.D. cone woofers offer extremely
accurate midrange response for cleaner, more realistic sound. For a smoother
response and improved durability, the woofers use rubber surrounds.
3/4" Dome Tweeter: Each speaker in this home theater package has a 3/4" M.M.D. dome tweeter that
offers superior stiffness and damping compared to traditional metal domes.
Waveguide: The
M.M.D. dome tweeters utilize an acoustical
waveguide to deliver, more even high frequency response, no matter what part of
the room you're in.
2-Way Crossover: Each speaker features a 2-way crossover system
with crossover frequency at 3300Hz. The crossover has a 24dB/octave slope.
Enclosure Design
Bass Reflex Bookshelf Enclosures: The Infinity Primus II Theater
Pack's bookshelf loudspeakers feature a bass-reflex enclosure with a
front-firing port. The front-firing port measures 1" in diameter. The ported
enclosure increases the speakers efficiency and bass response.
Acoustic Suspension Center-Channel:
The Infinity Primus II Theater Pack's
center-channel loudspeaker features an acoustic suspension enclosure. The sealed
enclosure offers tight, accurate bass.
Internally Braced Cabinet: Each speaker cabinet
is rigid and well-braced in order to deliver uncompromised performance, without
distortion.
Wood-Grain Vinyl: Each enclosure
features a black wood-grain vinyl cabinet.
Grille: Each speaker comes with a removable
black cloth grille with
a rigid plastic frame.
Connections
5-Way Binding Posts: The
gold-plated, 5-way binding posts will accept
bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, and banana plugs (single or dual).
Color Coded: The binding post speaker terminals are color-coded
(red/black) to distinguish between positive and negative.
Mounting Options
Rubber Feet: Each speaker
in the system comes with 4 rubber self-adhesive feet to help secure them in place to prevent slippage and
vibration.
Wall Mounting: The
four matching bookshelf loudspeakers have two keyhole slots in the upper left
and right corners on back of the cabinet (mounting screws sold separately). In
addition, two non-skid rubber bumpers are attached in the lower corners so the
speaker won't mar wall surfaces when the speaker is mounted. There is also a
rear-mounted 1/4"-20 threaded insert on back of each bookshelf speaker that lets
you use an optional articulating wall-mount bracket (sold separately).
Note: The center-channel loudspeaker is not equipped with a
keyhole slot or threaded insert. The speaker is designed to be placed on a
table, stand, or shelf using the supplied rubber-feet. The Pinpoint AM15
center-channel wall-mount (121AM15B,
sold separately) does allow you to wall-mount the center speaker, if
necessary.
Magnetically Shielded: All speakers are magnetically shielded, so you
can place them safely next to your television.
