Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular - see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker wiring when replacing the factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. Each Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end that attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers, and a proprietary connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with large (positive) and small (negative) female quick-slide terminals. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In the rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your new speaker terminals, you will need to replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal or solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.110" (inner width).

Fits the OEM speaker connector perfectly, the only thing I didn't like about them is they seem a little lose and the built in clip doesn't seem to clip very snugly, but one thing I can say for sure is they haven't come apart in a month and there is no shorting--so they are probably good enough--and you can't beat free with a pair of speakers!

Perfect fit between aftermarket speakers and my 93 suburban. It takes about 30 seconds to hook up the speaker wiring, and the clip only goes in one way, so there's no chance of wiring incorrectly. The factsheet and these adaptors are why you should order from Crutchfield.
Pros:
Fast and prevents wiring backwards.
Cons:
Takes a little force to attach to the speaker (used needlenose pliers), but this isn't really a con - you don't want them to come loose later.
