Woofer
Woofer: The P 234 component system includes woofers made of
sisal fiber with durable rubber surrounds. The mechanical advantages of sisal,
rigidity and inner damping, result in fast transients and precise detail.
Magnet cover: The woofers are shipped with a rubber magnet
cover to protect the speaker. If the cover is removed the depth changes slightly:
- Top Mount Depth: 1.804"
- Bottom Mount Depth: 2.039"
Removable Mounting Tabs: Most 4" factory speakers use four
mounting screws, however, in some vehicles, only two are used. In these cases, you
can bend the unnecessary mounting tabs on the woofer until they break off. Care
should be taken handling the speaker after any tabs are removed because the broken
edges may be sharp.
Tweeter
Tweeter: The system uses 1" silk dome tweeters with
neodymium motor structures. The tweeters can be flush mounted or surface mounted
at an angle using the included brackets. Like the woofers, the tweeters have male
quick slide terminals. The positive terminal is 0.187" wide and the negative
terminal is 0.110" wide. Neither speaker wire nor crimp-on terminals are
included with the speakers.

Crossover
Crossover: The crossovers are separate components with tweeter
protection built-in. The inputs and outputs are screw terminals and will accommodate
bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.3" wide. A jumper allows you to adjust
the tweeter output level; choose +3dB, 0dB, or -3dB. A second jumper changes the
woofers' expected impedance from 4-ohms to 2-ohms, used when a second pair of
woofers is added. No crossover frequency or slope information was provided by
the manufacturer.
