Rugged Design: The Rugged Canon PowerShot D10 digital camera allows
you to take it almost anywhere - waterproof to 33
feet (IPX8), cold resistant from 14-104°F, shockproof up to 4 feet, and
dustproof (IP6X)
Canon engineered this digital camera to be durable enough
to go where you go and still produce great images. This unique camera is
waterproof down to 33 feet so you can take it scuba diving, snorkeling or
surfing. It is also freeze-proof and can withstand extremes of temperature from
14-104°F so it is also ideal for snowboarding, mountaineering and more. Plus,
the D10 is shockproof up to a 4.0 feet drop and is dustproof.
Note: The camera cannot be used in hot
springs or other mineralized waters.
PureColor LCD II Monitor: The Canon PowerShot
D10 has a 2.5" TFT color LCD monitor featuring approximately 230,000
dots with approximately 100% picture coverage. This extra-durable, high-resolution
screen with tough scratch-resistant coating on the anti-reflective, PureColor

stops. To take images that are in focus, be sure to first press the shutter button
lightly (halfway) to focus, then press fully and release to take the shot.
Shooting Modes: The Canon PowerShot D10
features Single, Continuous, Self-Timer shooting mode.
- Single Shot: The digital
camera captures a single image each time the
shutter button is fully pressed and released.
- Continuous Shooting Mode: You can
use this mode to shoot successive frames while
the shutter button is fully depressed. The
interval depends upon shooting conditions and
settings. The approximate interval is 1.1 shots
per second.
- Self-Timer: The self-timer
can be used to shoot a group photo that includes
the photographer. The camera will activate
approximately after a preset time after shutter
button is pressed. You can set the time delay
(0-30 seconds) and the number of shots taken
(1-10 shots).
- Face Self-Timer: Once you
compose a shot, such as for a group photo, and
press the shutter button, the camera will take
three shots in a row two seconds after it detects
your face (the photographer) has entered the
picture.
Blink Detection: The camera warns you if it detects that there
is a possibility that people have their eyes shut when shooting a picture.
Focus Modes: The camera offers manual and auto focusing. You
can choose from the following modes.
- Manual: You can
manually set an approximate focus and the press the shutter-button halfway
to fine-tune the focus range.
