In-ceiling speakers have gotten really popular, and they're a great option for home theater systems. But much of the sound they produce can end up leaking into the room above. If you're enjoying a movie while someone in the bedroom above is trying to sleep... well, someone is going to lose some sleep. That's where Dynamat's ingenious DynaBox sound-isolating enclosure comes in.
Works for both new construction and retrofits

The flexible DynaBox can be folded to fit through an existing speaker opening. Then, you line the enclosure with the two supplied pieces of sound-absorbing foam.
The DynaBox acoustic barrier is very flexible literally. The enclosure is made of flexible vinyl that allows it to be collapsed for easy retrofit installation. You actually fold the enclosure and push it up through the hole you've cut in the ceiling for your speaker. Once the box is in place, you line it with the two supplied sound absorbers: the SoundSnake acoustic decoupler and back-wave foam panel. Of course, the DynaBox works great for new construction, too. Helps in-ceiling speakers sound clearer
The DynaBox creates an enclosure for your speaker, helping it project sound that's clearer and more controlled. You'll get more sound where you want it, and less noise and vibration where you don't.
