Looking for an easy way to mount a portable electronic device, like a plug-and-play satellite radio or an iPod®, in your vehicle? This Pro.Fit vehicle-specific mount (VSM) is the solution for you. It installs neatly in a convenient spot in your car and puts your device within easy reach, without altering the interior of your vehicle — good news if you lease your car. You can expect a great-looking, professional fit every time.

The car cradle that comes with your plug-and-play satellite radio attaches directly to the VSM, so you can pop the radio in and out easily. To mount your iPod, you'll need a separate iPod bracket to attach it to the VSM.

This Pro.Fit FO-74-99 VSM is engineered to fit in select 1999-and up Ford vehicles (Excursion, F-250, F-350). Each Pro.Fit VSM comes with comprehensive installation instructions. Mounting Location: This Pro.Fit VSM is designed to mount below the climate controls and to the left of the cup holder.

Compatibility: This VSM fits selected Ford Pickups and Excursions. Please confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle with the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector.

Mounting Surface: When installed, this VSM provides a mounting surface of 2-3/16" (W) x 2-11/16" (H).

Tools Needed: One set of Ford DIN radio removal tools (item # 120865618), Hook tool, 9/32" socket and ratchet, 9/32" open-end wrench, one coarse file, marking pen, duct tape.

Installation Difficulty: Pro.Fit International has rated the Difficulty of Installation as 4 on a scale of 1-5 (1-simple, 5-advanced).

secure phone mount

i work in the oilfield, driving mostly unpaved roads and this mount keeps my
phone secure and within easy reach. I have had problems with suction cup mounts
that are to flexible and eventually bouncing my phone out. With this mount my
phone does not bounce around and stays in place. Mounting was fairly simple.
Overall i would highly reccomend this mount.

The pro fit bracket was great in design and durability except for one small detail. The space designed for the braket is in the way if you drive a stick. 5th gear will smash into it every time. If you drive a standard you'll have to use one of the universal, non specific brakets.
