I have been with Crutchfield since 2006. Along with being an advisor, I help design and implement vendor trainings, present product trainings in our lab, and am part of the 12-volt specialist group. I have been interested in electronics since I was a child. My first home system consisted of 3 foot tall speakers, a record player, and dad's old amp. One of my first home theater experiences was installing my father's first surround system when I was a teenager. Over the years I have experienced all types of car and home systems, and I am still taken aback today when I hear a great sounding system.
Over the years I have installed many home systems, both in-wall/in-ceiling systems and satellite/bookshelf systems. Home theater is one of the most immersive parts of television and movies. It's always great to have to look behind you when you're watching favorite scary movie, or when someone is creeping up on you in a game.
Car audio is where my passion for electronics really kicked into high gear. I have installed systems in many vehicles, motorcycles, and classic cars. Today, many of us spend a lot of time in our vehicles, and that makes it a great avenue for listening to music. Getting a new stereo or speakers can increase your sound quality and volume by quite a bit. There's nothing like jamming to your favorite tunes with the windows down on a sunny day. Whether you need help with a car security system, camera, camcorder, or any of our other products I can help point you in the right direction.

I spoke with Matthew yesterday about wiring up a low imp amp and he was very knowledgable and relaxed while he showed me diagrams and probably explained them multiple times, excellent work.
Thanks Matthew

Thanks Matthew, your advice was concise and extremely helpful. I needed information to help make a decision about a car audio upgrade and you and Crutchfield were there to help.

I was sure I wanted to replace my factory head unit, but I was unsure what to buy. I called and spoke to Matthew, gave him my make and model and told him my budget. He showed me a new JVC unit and suggested I go ahead with the double DIN since it would fit my car. I'm glad I did. The receiver works great, and it looks extremely nice in my dash. I also talked to Matthew about installation. I was leaning toward having someone else do it, but I asked him his opinion of me doing it myself. I explained my level of experience with technical things (not that extensive) and expressed that I did not want to have to solder. He believed I could do it and was very helpful and encouraging. He suggested a few inexpensive tools to help me remove the panel in my car and do the wiring without soldering. It took some time, but I managed to do the installation myself. What a feeling of accomplishment! Thanks, Matthew. I got a great product, great customer service, and great value for the money!

I would like to take a second to thank Matthew for all his help with me. I was very confused with wiring options for my subs and almost bought something that wouldn't have worked! Matthew was very helpful and knew his stuff. I would highly recommend working with him!!
