Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular - see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker wiring when replacing the factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. Each Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end that attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers, and a proprietary connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with large (positive) and small (negative) female quick-slide terminals. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In the rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your new speaker terminals, you will need to replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal or solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.110" (inner width).

Installed speakers in rear deck of a 2005 Camry and drivers side harness was too short to reach the Camry speaker clip behind the seat. I had to cut the ends of the harness and solder them to the speaker wires that came with the speakers to increase the length to reach.

Incorrect fit

Harness' said "Front Right" on them and it was for the rear deck speakers. The connector that went to the factory connector on the car had an extra rib on one side which I had to take a utility knife and shave it off so it would slide into factory connector. Otherwise worked fine.

As stated by others, these are too short. Crutchfield needs to ditch these and provide longer ones so people don't have to keep running into this problem when they have already taken everything apart! As some others have done, I also spliced them together with the factory wires to make up the needed length. They would NOT have worked alone. They're more than "a little" too short. Frustrating!

Didn't Fit

Crutchfield sent me these free with my 2003 Corolla. Unfortunately, they were
about 6 inches too short. Of course, I didn't find this out until my car was
taken apart. Crutchfield said they would send me a new adapter, but it would be
about a week. I've never had problems with Crutchfield before, but this sort of
mistake was inexcusable. And the fact that the only solution Crutchfield had
(aside from me splicing wires together - if I was comfortable doing that sort of
thing, I wouldn't need Crutchfield) was to wait a week, was also inexcusable.

The wires worked perfectly and saved a lot of time. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is length. For the rear 6x9's on my 04 Corolla I had to cut the wire and splice them with the included wires that came with the speaker.

Have to give a failing mark on this one. The connector was the correct size, but had the wrong keyway on it. I had to cut off the keyway and reverse the polarity of the connector to use it.

I had to shave the side of the connector to get it to fit in my 2002 Camry. The connector wasn't long enough for the driver side connection. I had to splice the wires together with my own speaker wire. Kind of a frustrating install. Make the harness 2 inches longer, and the problem would be solved.

I used these parts to connect new speakers in a 1995 Toyota Camry. One side of the connectors fit great but the side that connects to the speakers was too narrow. I had to use the wires sent with the speakers instead and did a little splicing. It was nice to have all of the equipment I needed while I was doing the job.

I received this item for my 2003 Toyota Camry, and they DO NOT fit in the factory harness for the rear speakers. You have to trim the side off and that way they will fit. It was an easy installation after that.

Just a heads up, Crutchfield sent this to me for my 2002 Corolla with my rear speakers and it does NOT fit in the factory connectors. You will need to trim the strips off the sides in order for it to even go into the connector.

Other than that they work, and Crutchfield was awesome with service and selection!
