The compact Etón Rover emergency radio is small enough to fit just about anywhere, such as your car's glove compartment, a spare kitchen drawer, backpack, or suitcase. Its powerful tuner pulls in the broadcasts to keep you informed in an emergency. And unlike standard battery-powered radios and flashlights, the Rover's ready when you need it.

No power? No problem!
And no need to fumble in the dark for replacement batteries. A lightweight aluminum hand crank ensures you can always power up the built-in rechargeable battery pack. And when the power's on, you can use the included USB cable to charge your Rover from your computer or other USB power source. You can also charge your cell phone through the Rover's USB port, ensuring you can make an emergency call whenever you need to.

AM, FM and weather bands
The Rover's analog tuner pulls in both AM and FM stations. And it receives all seven NOAA weather bands, so you can monitor changing atmospheric conditions. 3-LEDs provide plenty of light when you need it.

    AM/FM Tuner: The Eton Rover is equipped with a built-in AM (520-1710 kHz) / FM (87-108 MHz) tuner.

    NOAA Weather Band: The Eton Rover also features all 7 channels of the NOAA weather band.

    Headphone Output: The Eton Rover is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting a set of headphones for private listening. Sound will be heard from both sides of the headphone in monaural (mono). The unit's speakers are muted when headphones are connected.

    Flash Light: The Eton Rover features 3 built-in white LEDs to be used as a flash light.

    Rechargeable Li-Poly Battery Pack: The Eton Rover employs a integrated rechargeable Li-Poly battery pack. The battery can be charged either through the mini-USB port (with included cable) or by the hand crank.

    • Self-Powered Aluminum Crank: You can turn the built-in hand crank for immediate charge to the unit's internal battery. Turn the crank for approximately one minute for 15 minutes of use.
    • Mini-USB Port: It takes approximately 5 hours to fully re-charge the Rover via the mini-USB port. Once fully charged, the radio will play for approximately 8 hours.

    Cell Phone Charging: The Eton Rover lets you charge your cell phone via is USB (type-A) charging port. You can charge your cell phone from the radio's built-in Li-Poly battery or via the unit's hand crank.

    • Via Battery: With a full charged Rover, 20 minutes of cell phone charging will then allow approximately 20-25 minutes of talk time.
    • Via Hand Crank: Turn the crank for approximately 7 minutes at 130 rpm to charge the cell phone enough to talk for approximately 5 minutes.

    Excellent, Useful Compact Well Designed Unit With Unique Capabilities

    This unit is convenient, well designed and handy. It is lighter, smaller and in some ways more capable than its more expensive Axis brother and the FR series units. More advanced battery (Li-Poly). Greater charge in less crank time. Fully chargeable using a USB cord attached to an AC adapter. When fully charged, the radio can run for hours. Can charge cellphones when you are NOT cranking unlike other units. Analogue tuning allows use both in the United States and overseas. Digital units do not have that capability.
