Features
Overview: The 2456S3T TimerLinc allows you to program up to
28 timers; 14 On and 14 Off. Each command (on or off) controls the 2456S3T's
outlet and the INSTEON device(s) linked to it. Multiple INSTEON devices can be
linked to the TimerLinc, but they are turned on/off simultaneously, not
individually.
INSTEON System: This line of lighting and appliance control
utilizes INSTEON technology, using existing power wires as well as wireless
radio frequency (RF) to send home automation control signals to INSTEON devices
throughout the house. You must have at least two INSTEON Access point
couplers/signal repeaters (item number 7262443P) installed to control the system
in a typical residence (2-phase wiring).
Timers and Days of the Week: TimerLinc features a custom
day of the week selection; each timer can be set to
run for the same day each week, everyday, just weekdays, or just weekends.
Security: By enabling the security feature, you can set your timers to activate
randomly within a one hour period (+/- 30 minutes) of the times for which they
are scheduled. For example, a timer set for 5:30pm will activate randomly
anywhere from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, giving the appearance that somebody is home.
Battery Backup: TimerLinc comes with a battery backup that
will allow you to hold TimerLinc in your hand while programming. This means the
unit doesn't have to
be plugged in and you do not have to get on the floor at an awkward angle to press
the buttons or read the LCD screen. The battery backup also holds the programmed
memory in the event of a power outage and will maintain the clock and timer
settings.
Maximum Load: The outlet on the 2456S3T can handle a maximum load of
15 amps, or incandescent lighting up to 480 watts.
X10 Ready: You can program a primary X10 address into the
2456S3T and use it to control an existing X10 system.
