These two little guys really fill out the sound in my ride. I installed them in the dash of my 2002 Dodge Ram. Sometime awhile back, I thought I had finished customizing the system, but it seemed like something was missing from the overall sound. New Alpine HU, front and rear door speakers upgraded to aftermarket speakers and amp (Alpine 6x9's and V-power amp) a 500W Alpine mono block for a 10" sub enclosures located under the rear seats and a DSP unit. It pounded, but it just was missing the highs my speakers were not delivering. Then I realized there were 2 dash locations I wasn't utilizing for tweeters! Now throw these babies in and talk about staging! They really made my system come alive. If you have a location for 3-1/2" speakers and these are not in there, get em' in- you will be very happy you did. Pros: smooth, glassy highs with no noticeable distortion. fabulous price point! Cons: yes, the tweeter does protrude higher than most speakers. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 Nice sound, do not fit the application though! Written By Kirk, Wilkes-Barre, Pa on Saturday, October 06, 2012 Installed in a 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) These speakers do sound fine, but though they are listed as a direct fit for my '78 Monte Carlo, they are not. In order to make these work in a G-Body you'll want to pick up another set of speaker grills as you'll need to cut the center out in order to be able to mount them. As soon as I save up a few more bucks I'll be replacing these with proper fitting speakers as I hate to make this car look "hacked". If I had not torn the box I would have returned these immediately! Pros: Clear sound, bass blockers included, outstanding highs. Cons: Poor fit, tweeter is too tall, grill modification required. Listed as a direct fit but are far from it. 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I bought these for use on my classic car equipped with a conversion audio system. (classic looks of an original radio, with the insides of a modern radio) The original 1963 Chrysler Imperial audio system is equipped with a speaker is a single dash mounted 7" speaker with one 6" x 9" in the package tray.(like most old classics) Wanting to retain the stock looks of my vehicle without cutting ,yet have modern sound I replaced the factory single 7" speaker with 2 Polk Audio 3.5" mounted side by side. As with the other reviews, the only issue Involved, was the height of the tweeter. If you look at the side view of the enclosed speaker photos, it will give some idea. Problem solved by making a thicker speaker mounting plate. These speakers sound WONDERFUL! Combined with a pair of Polk Audio DXi690 6x9 in the rear, it gives new life to a classic car. Excellent cure for a classic problem. They can handle the volume being cranked or the low background sounds for a cruise. Pros: Compact size pack a whallop, Fair price, Wonderful sound Cons: Only one, that being the height of the tweeter, if you can work around that in your installation, these are for you 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I picked Polk because i already have a set of Polk 6 1/2 components up front and some Polk 6-1/2 two ways in the rear doors. They sound great and really fill in the center stage of my system. They have crystal clear highs and the supplied 200Hz capacitors really do the job blocking the lows. All of the Polk speakers I have purchased from Crutchfield have the power handling characteristics i need plus they sound great in my Mercedes. By "distracting clarity" I mean when your playing a song your familiar with and have listened to on other speakers you can't help but concentrate on the music & the crisp clear highs and mid.'s you've been missing before! My main reason for wanting to write the review is that these speakers WILL absolutely bolt right in place in a Fox body mustang ('86-'93)! I made no modifications what-so-ever to the mounts. I personally chose to solder the wires directly to the speaker, eliminating the plug. But, these speakers literally drop right into place, and bolt right up in factory locations. The factory plastic grill pops right back on over them with no interferance at all. You will be able to see the little silver tweeter through the slots in the grill, which looks kinda nice IMO. But because the angle of the slots in the grill, anyone looking through the windshield won't be able to tell a thing (no worries about what possible theives may see!). You can only see the silver tweeter from inside the car. 8 out of 8 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? These little speakers are excellent for their size. Great quality, you don't have to turn the treble all the way up just to make them sound decent, the bass is more than enough for a 3 1/2 and they are really easy to install. I put these in my '88 Cutlass Ciera, yeah I know... It's an oldie, but I just can't seem to get rid of it, it's never given me any problems and it's just so smooth on the road. I bought these to add to my '05 Magnum as dash speakers. They are excellent quality & I can't get over the sound quality. However the instructions included were very basic & ambiguous. The speakers come with a Bass Blocker but the instructions do not explain exactly what it is for, why you need it or really how to hook it up. The speakers work so I must have used it correctly. There also is a male connector tab on the tweeter but nothing says anything about what it is for. I left it unhooked, not sure what it affects. I would definitely buy Polk speakers again but as with almost everything these days the instructions are not good, they are however in like 6 different languages. 8 out of 11 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? First off, if you looking to install these in a Chrysler 300C, don't bother, they won't fit. The tweeter is too high whereas the speaker grill doesn't fit properly. I had them in for a few days with the driver's side grill bulging, but I just could take the look anymore. I removed them and sent back. A major disappointment as the speakers sounded way better than stock. The only gripe I had about the sound was that they carry too much bass for such a small speaker. If I kept them, I'd invest in some low frequency filters as not to blow @ high volume. 4 out of 5 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I bought these speakers to replace a set of clarion 3 1/2s that I installed in the dash of my '62 lincoln continental a while ago. The clarions were half the price, but the sound quality isn't even half as good as these polks. The highs are crystal clear and not a bit fatiuging; they even put-out some very nice, light mid-bass for a nice rich sound. The system also includes 5x7 polk db's in the rear deck and two alpine type E 10's with a 400w mono alpine amp in the trunk. I have the system faded 2 to the rear and these polk's match the bass from the subs very nicely even with the amp at 3/4's gain. I plan on an alpine 4 channel for the 4 polks in the cabin to bring out the sound even more (these polk full range speakers can handle a decent amount of power, but they will eventually distort off the jvc head unit with enough volume(about 40)). I listen to just about any kind of music and they perform admirably for all. 3 out of 3 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Hit the sweet spot... Written By Danno, West Chester, PA on Saturday, July 07, 2007 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I had been gradually replacing a factory system in a Sebring one step at a time, where these db351s were the finishing touches. They should have been the first speaker I bought, because they really rounded out the system well. They are even handling lower frequencies extremely well (as expected). Not only are the technicians knowledgeable, but the sales people are also extremely savvy on installation issues. It was a moderately complex installation, including an older Kenwood 4-way amp, with 2 of the channels bridged for an 8" Kicker sub in the trunk along with the Polk db6500s in the doors. The door speakers are split with the dash speakers and crossover--sounds really great now. Thanks to all of the Crutchfield staff for letting me work with them to put this configuration together, they made this a great customer experience! 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
5 out of 5 Impressive for small units Written By HemiSam, Houston, TX on Thursday, August 02, 2012 Installed in a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) These are pretty darn impressive little units that don't require a lot of power. Huge upgrade over the made in Mexico stock units. Very impressed with Polk for these. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
5 out of 5 Polk Audio db351 Written By the Turnpike Terror, the Highway on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I bought these for use on my classic car equipped with a conversion audio system. 5 out of 5 great sound from such a small size Written By Brad D, Pageland SC on Monday, March 07, 2011 i bought these speaker to use as my center channel. I also like the fact that I can call you guys at anytime with any questions I may have and I always receive professional advice as well as great customer service. You guys Rock!!! 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No

5 out of 5 Mustang Fox body install Written By BigCheeseStick, Myrtle Beach, SC on Monday, June 21, 2010 Great sounding speakers with distracting clarity. Yes | No
3 out of 5 Polk Audio db351 Written By Dwayne, Fort Lauderdale, FL on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Installed in a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I don't know what I expected when I purchased these speakers for my dash. I kind of expected them to wow me, but they didn't. I really didn't notice a vast difference in the sound of my music with these aftermarket speakers versus my factory speakers despite one of my factory dash speakers being blown. I guess they are only ok. 2 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No

4 out of 5 1985 GMC C15 installation Written By Anonymous, Pryor, OK on Tuesday, August 05, 2008 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) At first glance, the speakers look amazing. The install was very easy thanks to the wiring harness and brackets that were provided by Crutchfield. The speakers sound great! My only disappointment is that the tweeter does stick out quite a bit and now I can see a slight buldge in my dash pad at the speaker locations. 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? 3 out of 5 :( Written By mike, ny on Saturday, May 17, 2008 Installed in a 1991 Cadillac DeVille Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) was looking forward to installing these in my caddy, but unfortunately they did not fit. the size of the speaker was right but the magnet at the bottom was too big and i couldnt fit the speaker in place. even if it did fit by the looks of it, looked like the tweeter stuck out too much so the speaker grille would not fit back on anyway. 1 out of 8 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? 5 out of 5 Replacements? More like upgrades! Written By Cory, San Luis Obispo, CA on Saturday, April 26, 2008 Installed in a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) These little speakers are excellent for their size. I'm glad I purchased these speakers from Crutchfield and I recommend them to all. 3 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
4 out of 5 Great sound, great quality, one minor issue Written By Glenn, Huntersville, NC on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 Installed in a 2005 Dodge Magnum Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I bought these to add to my '05 Magnum as dash speakers. 4 out of 5 Nice upgrade from stock Written By Albert, New Jersey on Monday, November 05, 2007 Installed in a 2007 Chrysler 300 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) First off, if you looking to install these in a Chrysler 300C, don't bother, they won't fit. Yes | No
5 out of 5 this little spkr kicks Written By Anonymous, davenport, iowa on Sunday, September 23, 2007 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) if you have a chance to upgrade to these..do it!! i thought the stock speakers were good...pale in comparison to these..very efficient. in my previous car i upgraded to blaupunkts and these polks run all over them... had problem with install though...no speaker harness was available..the stock harness had orange, yellow and white leads. one call to cruthcfield showed limited knowledge on my car, a 2007 vw rabbit... 4 out of 6 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? 5 out of 5 fantastic dash speaker Written By evan, San Antonio on Monday, September 17, 2007 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I bought these speakers to replace a set of clarion 3 1/2s that I installed in the dash of my '62 lincoln continental a while ago. Yes | No
5 out of 5 Hit the sweet spot...
