You bought a 2010-up Mustang — great car, but its console makes it impossible to upgrade the factory radio. Metra's integration adapter allows you to install an aftermarket single- or double-DIN receiver in the Mustang's dash panel, while maintaining all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls, even the heated seats and compass if your model has them.

The adapter features soft-touch buttons that let you access all climate controls found in the Mustang, and it's a perfect match for the color, texture, and contours of your dash. You'll also get a blue LED display just like the one in your Mustang. Warranty: 1 year.

Overview: The Metra 99-5823 OEM Integration Kit allows you to replace your 2010-up Ford Mustang's factory radio with an aftermarket head unit to improve the overall sound quality of your car audio system. This dash kit includes an integrated LCD screen & climate controls. The Metra 99-5823 is configurable for single-DIN and Double-DIN aftermarket head units. This dash kit has been designed with high quality automotive grade ABS plastic to match the texture and paint of your factory panels.

Note: Ford stereo replacement interface and antenna adapter sold separately. Please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to see if your vehicle is compatible.

LCD Screen w/ Climate Control: The integrated LCD screen & climate control buttons replace the factory climate, convenience, and personalization controls built into your Ford Mustang's factory radio/dash panel. This solution provides improved ergonomics while adding touchscreen capabilities unique to this system.

I think the fit and finish of this product are fine. The buttons on my adapter don't look cheep. The backlighting is subtle, however. In my view this could easily pass for a factory piece.

Why is this the only dash kit available?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I love my new 5.0 mustang but this kit, while it looks ok sometimes drives me insane and costs way too much based on the quality of it's material and the cheap feel of the buttons. The LCD screen has a customizable text option...while cool the text just seems to come on when it feels like it. Also this is the only kit available for a 2010-2011 mustang, so mustang owners out there, if you want to upgrade your stereo, but sorry this is the only option out there :-(

To be honest, I probably would not have bought this if it wasn't for the fact that this is the only custom adapter available for the Mustang 2010-11. The buttons look terribly cheap, and feel cheap. The LCD doesn't look good either. You can't see the backlight color in daylight. I am having issues where the customizable display text disappears occasionally.

Fits great,ordered with a DDX516,nice custom look,easy install,all factory functions work great,no compalints. Con was slight color difference noticeable in direct sunlight to factory console.
