Features

Overview: The Sol Republic Tracks on-ear headphones are designed for listening to music on a digital media player or for use with your smart phone--virtually any device with a 3.5mm minijack.

V8 Sound Engines: Tracks are equipped with the high-performance V8 Sound Engines, which transform the headphones into a private, personal speaker system. The V8 sound engines provide you with deep bass and high clarity for excellent sound quality. The large, lightweight ear cushions reduce pressure on the ear to provide comfort for long listening sessions.

Headband: The virtually indestructible curved headband is made of an advanced polymer compound called FlexTech. It has a soft pad at the top of the band for a comfortable fit. You can order additional headbands in 8 colors and change them to suit your mood or style. Colors include red, white, black, Progressive Purple, Glitch Grey, Electro Blue, Dub Orange, and House Pink.

In-Line Remote: Tracks feature a color-matching 47" cable with an in-line remote and microphone to let you control your phone calls and your music. The 3-button remote has a volume control, as well as buttons for selecting music and answering/hanging up your phone calls. It is compatible with iPod, iPhone, and iPad for volume, play/pause, and next/previous track. The high clarity ClearTalk microphone makes sure your calls are clearly heard by the other party. The in-line 3-button remote/microphone is compatible with the following devices (as of August 2012):

iPod nano: 4th generation and later
iPod shuffle: 3rd generation and later
iPod classic: 120 GB and 160 GB (2009)
iPod touch: 2nd generation and later
iPhone: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S
iPad: all models
Macbooks: for talking on G-chat, Skype, Aim, and other video chatting services
plus some Android and Blackberry devices

Interchangeable Cables: Like the interchangeable headbands, cables with a ClearTalk omni-directional microphone and 3-button remote are also available in the same 8 colors.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sound engines are really Kool looking. And easy to set up. Sound engines are comfortable when you first wear them but after a hour of use I felt discomfort on the ears.. Sound quality was clear and robust. Disappointed that the headphones came without a case. All in all great value for the money. Can't wait to go on vacation this year and put them to use on the airplane and siting by the pool..

Pros:

Sound quality. And headphone design and durability..

Cons:

Uncomfortable after 1 hour of use. Carrying case not provided with purchase of headphones. Carry case must be purchased separately..

Awesome Headphones!

This is such a great product for $100. I did not think you could get this great of sound qualtiy for so cheap. With other headphones I have looked at, they are almost double the price to get the same sound quality. The headband is super flexible, awesome amount of base, and I found out that the speakers pull off the headband! What a great idea!

Nothing bad to say

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sound is solid all the way across the audio spectrum. The bass is not muddy but tight and solid with good mid-range and outstanding treble. Well built and I anticipate the headphones will be very durable. Crutchfield has an outstanding reputation.

Pros:

Quality, durability, and good value for the price paid. Sound is excellent.

Cons:

Comfort: not as comfortable as I would like. However, the excellent sound cancels out the comfort problem.
