Display Features
Marine Certified: The Marine CD receiver has been engineered and
tested for use in the harsh marine environment. The faceplate features a unique
rubber gasket and door assembly offering the internal components complete water
protection. The unit also features a protective seal around the chassis to keep
water from dripping onto the internal circuits.
Oversized Fold-Down Face: The Marine CD receiver features an
oversized fold-down face with a rubber surround so your CD-disc stays protected
behind the unit's marine rated face-plate. The front-panel mechanically folds
down to load and eject CDs. The unit's face features a 1-line display. The
face-plate is not detachable.
Disc & USB Playback
Compatible Discs: The Marine CD receiver supports playback of CD,
CD-R, and CD-RW discs. The unit supports playback of MP3/WMA music files
recorded onto CD-R/RW discs.
Rear-Panel USB Port: The Marine CD receiver is equipped with a
rear-panel USB (type-A) port attached to the chassis by a 6" pigtail. The
USB port allows you to connect a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) compliant device;
such as your Android smartphone, portable digital audio player, or USB
thumbdrive. The unit supports audio playback & control of MP3/WMA audio files
stored on a compatible USB mass-storage class device. USB portable devices that
can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the receiver's USB port
(0.5A) and the ignition switch is set to ACC or On.
Note: The USB port does not support Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
Intro Scan: This function allows you to locate and play the first 10
seconds of all the tracks recorded on a CD or the first 10 seconds of the first
track of all the folders on an MP3/WMA disc or USB device.
Bluetooth/Aux Integration
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Marine CD receiver
supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth
enabled audio player or smartphone. The marine receiver will be able to control
basic playback functions of your Bluetooth device's stored music; such as
Play/Pause, Skip Next/Previous, Fast Forward/Rewind and Random/Repeat. The head
unit will also display your stored music's song information; such as Artist name
and Song/Album title. The marine unit also supports audio streaming of music
apps downloaded on your smartphone with limited control and no metadata display.
Advanced music control of your music apps will still need be done via your
Bluetooth-enabled smartphone.
Note: This unit does not support Bluetooth hands-free
communication for making and answering phone calls.
Rear-Panel Aux Input: This unit features a rear mounted, stereo RCA
auxiliary input on a 6" pigtail so you can connect an external audio source. An
RCA-to-Minijack cable (sold separately) will be required for the connection of a
portable audio player with a headphone jack output.
Radio Functions
AM/FM Tuner: The Marine CD receiver features a
built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning.
Preset Tuning: The marine unit provides 3 FM banks and 2 AM banks.
Each AM/FM bank can hold up to 6 station presets, proving you with 18 FM station
presets and 12 AM station presets. Stations can be stored manually or
automatically.
US & European Tuning: You can select either US or European tuning.
Audio Section
45 Watts (Peak) x 4ch Amplifier: The marine CD receiver is equipped
with a 45 Watts (Peak) x 4ch amplifier.
4ch Preamp Outputs: The marine head unit is fitted with front & rear
preamp outputs.
Preset EQ w/ Tone Control: The marine CD receiver features 5 preset EQ
modes - Flat, Classic, Pop, Rock, or Off. The marine head unit also offers
independent Bass & Treble control; plus Balance & Fade adjustment.
Loudness: When listening to music at low volume levels, this feature
will boost the bass and treble response.
Program Power-On Volume: You can set the marine receiver to
power-on to the same volume level (0-45) every time. This unit also incorporates
memory retention. For example, if you power the unit off at a volume of 45 and
your inital volume setting was at 30, the unit will turn back on at 30. If
however, you power the unit off at volume 15 and your initial volume setting was
at 30, the unit will turn on at 15. The unit will always remember the lowest
volume as a way of protecting your hearing.
Key Beep: When this function is enabled, every button press will
output a beep tone.
Installation
Mounting: The marine receivers requires a rectangular cutout
in the bulkhead for inserting the chassis. Four screws (supplied) fasten the
faceplate against the mounting surface, and hold the waterproof gasket against
the bulkhead. A metal backstrap is supplied to help support the weight of the
unit. You can install the unit within 20-degrees of horizontal.
Note: The receiver does not include a mounting sleeve or
ISO-mount screw holes to accommodate standard automotive
installation.
