Features

Tweeter: Each speaker uses two type-S1, 1" Kortec dome tweeters. The dual tweeters exhibit smoother frequency response and higher output than conventional two-way or three-way designs. Kortec is a silky fabric saturated on the underside with a proprietary stiffening agent. Because the inside surface of the dome is ultra stiff, the tweeter tracks the signal with ease and produces an excellent transient attack. Simultaneously, the soft, self-dampening top layer eliminates unwanted resonance, so the sound is smooth and articulate. The CATB (Contoured Asymmetrical Tweeter Baffle) delivers smooth extension and strong on-axis and off-axis response.

Woofer: The copolymer woofer cone has a durable butyl rubber surround and stands up to the harsh automotive environment.

Crossover: The multi-element crossover is specifically tuned to deliver the best blend between the tweeter and woofer.

Voice Coil: The oversized 1-1/2" voice coil increases overall power handling and reliability.

Installation: The compact size of the magnet allows SR series speakers to fit where other high quality speakers don't. Neodymium magnets offer extraordinary power-to-weight ratio, approximately ten times the magnetic strength of a conventional iron-ferrite magnet of equal size.

Speaker Terminals: These speakers have 0.25" positive (+) terminals and 0.187" negative (-) terminals, which are too large for the vehicle-specific speaker harnesses supplied by Crutchfield for many vehicle applications. It is recommended that a pack of assorted female quick slides (item # 263FQS10PK) be purchased and spliced to the harnesses to adapt them to the speaker terminals.
