Overview:
The Boston Acoustic Horizon i-DS2 is a compact iPod dock speaker system which
features high performance full-range speakers, an acoustically tuned chamber for
maximum bass, and an IR wireless remote that puts you in control of your iPod
from across the room.
Amplifier: The Boston Acoustic i-DS2 is equipped with a 15 watt RMS/30
watts peak per channel amplifier high performance sound reproduction.
Speakers: The Horizon i-DS2 features dual 3-1/2" full-range speaker in
separate acoustic chambers, vented for extend bass response.
BassTrac: The i-DS2 uses BassTrac audio processing for great sounding
bass at any volume level.
iPod Dock: The Boston Acoustics Horizon i-DS2 features a
top-mounted Apple iPod dock to connect your iPod. Using the supplied iPod
adapter inserts, the i-DS2 can support many iPods that feature a dock connection. The i-DS2 is "Made for iPod
compatible" and supports the following iPod model functions (Dec. 2009).

Video Output: If your iPod can store video or photos you can view them
on an external television when it is docked to the i-DS2 via its rear-panel
composite video output. Composite video cable not supplied.
Wireless Remote Control: The i-DS2 comes supplied with an IR
wireless remote control to operate the unit and your docked iPod. The supplied
wireless remote control can operate basic playback functions of your docked iPod
such as Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, Next Track, and Previous Track. Your
docked iPod's controls will also remain fully functional for advanced playback and menu
features. The i-DS2 features volume controls and a power button on the actual
unit.
USB Port: The unit's rear-panel USB type-B port lets you sync your
iPod with iTunes while it is docked in the i-DS2. USB cable not provided.
Auxiliary Input: Other audio equipment, such as a portable CD player
or older iPod models that do not have an Apple iPod dock connector can be
connected to the i-DS2 through the unit's rear-panel 3.5mm Aux input. The system
comes supplied with a 24" stereo minijack cable.
Power Supply: The Boston Acoustic Horizon i-DS2 operates off of
standard household AC current. The unit features an in internal power supply so
no bulky external adapter is needed, just the supplied 6' AC power cord.
