Overview: The TEAC SR-LUXi
Table-Top Audio System features a built-in FM tuner, integrated iPod/iPhone
dock, and a rear-panel auxiliary input. The TEAC SR-LUXi provides high-quality
stereo sound and even features a rear-panel headphone output for private
listening. The TEAC SR-LUXi employs a wake-up/sleep timer with snooze
function for the bedroom. For added convenience, an IR wireless remote control is included.

Clock Radio Functions
Digital Clock: The TEAC SR-LUXi table-top audio system features a
built-in digital clock with a 3-step dimmer. You can choose a 12-hour or 24-hour
clock display.
Note: The unit features a daylight saving time switch.
Wake Up Timer: The SR-LUXi can be programmed to turn on at a specified
time. It can also be set to brighten the built-in light gradually before the set
time. You can se the unit to play an iPod/iPhone, FM radio station, or a buzzer
sound. The unit's wake-up timer will sound for 60 minutes before turning off.
Snooze: The unit's alarm can be temporarily turned off for
10 minutes
at a time. You can use this function repeatedly during the 1 hour alarm cycle.
Note: The Snooze function does not turn the unit's built-in lamp
off.
Sleep Timer: The SR-LUXi lets you go to sleep listening to
your iPod/iPhone or the built-in FM radio for a predetermined amount of time.
You can adjust the sleep timer from 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
Note: If the built-in lamp is 'on' when the set time is reached,
it will dim gradually over a few seconds.
Built-in Lamp: The TEAC SR-LUXi table-top audio system features a
built-in LED lamp. You can adjust the brightness and angle of the LED lamp. The
LED lamp can be used even the system's power is off. The unit's LED lamp turns
on & off gradually.
Wakeup Lighting: The unit's built-in lamp features three
Wake-Up settings. You can choose from the following:
- Off: The light does not turn on automatically.
- 10: The light gradually brightens starting 10 minutes before the
set wake-up time.
- 30: The light gradually brightens starting 30 minutes before the
set wake-up time.
Audio/Tuner Features
Twin Drive Speaker System: The TEAC SR-LUXi table-top audio system
features a twin drive speaker design with independent speaker chambers and a
bass-reflex port for high-quality stereo sound. The SR-LUXi employs two 1"
full-range drivers powered by a built-in 2-watts x 2-channel amplifier, and two
1" passive speakers.
6 EQ Presets: The TEAC SR-LUXi employs six Equalizer Presets
for improved audio fidelity. You can select from Pop, Ambient, Classical, Jazz,
Rock or Flat.
Note: Turn off your iPod/iPhone's EQ when activating this unit's
EQ Presets.
Mute: You can mute the SR-LUXi's sound temporarily by pressing the mute
button on the supplied remote control.
FM Tuner: The TEAC SR-LUXi is equipped with a built-in FM tuner with
manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 10 FM station presets. The
unit features an attached FM wire antenna.
Headphone Output: The TEAC SR-LUXi features a rear-panel 3.5mm headphone
output jack for connecting a set of headphones so you can listen to your music
privately. Once a set of headphones are connected to the unit's 3.5mm headphone
output jack, the system's speakers are muted.
Non-skid Rubber Feet: The SR-LUXi is equipped with non-skid rubber feet
to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls.
iPod/Aux Connectivity
iPod/iPhone Dock: The TEAC SR-LUXi features an integrated
iPod/iPhone dock to connect your compatible iPod or iPhone. The TEAC SR-LUXi
supports audio playback, music navigation, and charging of select iPods and
iPhones.
- Audio Playback: You can listen to music files from your
iPod/iPhone by simply connecting the iPod/iPhone to the SR-LUXi's built-in
dock.
- Music Navigation: The TEAC SR-LUXi's IR remote control provides
full music navigation of your iPod/iPhone's. You can control advanced menu
functions, as well as basic playback functions such as Play/Pause, Fast
Forward/Rewind, Skip (Next/Previous), Random, & Repeat. You can also choose
to control your iPod/iPhone from its clickwheel or touchscreen.
- Music Information Display: You will continue to use your iPod/iPhone's
LCD screen to view song/artist information.
- Charging: The SR-LUXi will charge your connected iPod or iPhone when
the tabletop radio is powered up.
Note: The TEAC SR-LUXi includes 3 iPod/iPhone dock adapter inserts
to fit the following iPods/iPhones - iPod w/ clickwheel (4th gen), iPod w/
color display (4th gen), iPod video (5th gen) iPod Classic (80/120/160GB),
and iPhone (3G/3GS). If your iPod or iPhone does not already come with an
iPod/iPhone adapter insert, it is highly recommend you purchase one from the
Apple Store for a proper fit.
iPod/iPhone Compatibility Chart: The TEAC SR-LUXi is "Made

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality.
If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software
version or wait until an newer software update is available.
Auxiliary Input: The unit's rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input
lets you connect an external audio device, such as your portable audio player.
Remote Control
Wireless Remote Control: The TEAC SR-LUXi comes supplied with
an IR remote control for wireless operation of the tabletop audio system and your
docked iPod/iPhone.
Note: The remote control operates on one CR2032 3V lithium
'coin-type' battery (included).
Power Requirements
AC Power Supply: The TEAC SR-LUXi operates off of standard AC
household current (AC12V/60Hz) using the supplied AC power adapter and AC power
cord.
Battery Backup: The TEAC SR-LUXi provides battery backup power for it's
built-in clock and presets, when the unit is momentarily disconnected from the
AC outlet or during a power outage. The SR-LUXi uses a CR2032 3V lithium
'coin-type" battery (included) for battery backup. The total life of the
backup battery is approximately 72 hours.
Note: The battery backup compartment
is located on the bottom of the unit.
