Features
Overview: Cobra iRadar provides radar/laser detection
technology that you can integrate with your Android smartphone. The Cobra iRadar (iRAD
105) is a radar/laser/red-light camera detector which uses Bluetooth wireless
technology to connect to your Android smartphone, via a free downloadable app, to display radar alerts, control settings, log alert history, and be warned of upcoming speed and red-light cameras.
Compatibility: The Cobra iRadar is compatible
with Android smartphones running Android OS 2.1 or higher.
Cobra iRadar App: You will need to download the free "Cobra iRadar"
app
from the Android Market onto your compatible phone for the iRadar to function. The free Cobra iRadar
App provides the following features for your Android phone:
- Access to AURA, Cobra's exclusive camera and driving hazard database,
and alerts you of speed and red-light cameras, known speed traps, and dangerous
intersections.
- Displays visual alerts from the detector on the Android phone.
- View alert history on the radar map view.
- Control radar detector settings from your Android phone.
Note: Functionalities of this App are only available when linked
to the Cobra iRadar Detector unit.
Pairing: Once the Cobra iRadar App is downloaded to your
Android smartphone, the iRadar will appear under "iRADAR 105" in the Bluetooth
settings menu. Your phone must then be paired to the iRadar unit, which may take 30-60 seconds
to complete. The detector's LED will flash blue during pairing. When
pairing has completed, the LED will turn solid blue.
360-Degree Detection The Cobra iRadar Detector Unit
provides 360-degrees of detection for all radar and laser guns.
City/Highway Modes: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit utilizes
City & Highway modes to reduce false alerts.
Dual Alert Screen: Your Bluetooth-connected Android phone lets
you view detection and alert information at the same time.
Dashboard: The Dashboard feature displays speedometer,
compass, and car battery voltage on your phone's LCD screen.
View Map: You are able to view user-marked locations, red-light camera
locations in your area, and GPS-based speed and direction of travel on your
phone.
Mounting Options: The Cobra iRadar Detector unit comes
supplied with a suction-cup mount which allows you to attach the unit to your
windshield. The unit also includes a velcro-strip if you prefer to attach it to
your dash.
12-Volt Cigarette Lighter Adapter: The Cobra iRadar Detector
unit includes a 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter to supply power to the unit.
The cigarette lighter adapter also feature a Type A USB port which allows you to
connect your Android smartphone, or other USB-powered device, to keep it charged.
