Overview: The Boston
Acoustics IS Type-S (ISTS) Imaging System contains two 1" tweeters, two passive
crossovers, speaker wire, and mounting hardware. The Boston Acoustics ISTS
optimizes the soundstage height in your vehicle and easily incorporates into any
existing car audio system.
1" Tweeters: The tweeters feature
1" Type S-1 Kortec domes for smooth high frequency response and linearity.
Kortec is a specially engineered material with the rigidity of a composite dome
and the smoothness and detailed response of cloth.
Mounting Cups: The supplied Quick-fit
mounting cups simplify tweeter installation. The tweeters come with flush,
surface, and angle mount brackets.
Passive Crossovers: On each tweeter
crossover, you can adjust the tweeter output by -3, -6, or -9
dB. The crossover's top-cover is removable to adjust tweeter output and to make
speaker connections. A small philips-head screwdriver is required to connect the
included speaker wire to the crossovers.
Speaker Wire: The Boston Acoustics ISTS includes two 5' lengths of
speaker wire to attach the tweeters to the crossovers. The speaker wire features
male and female quick-slide connectors.
