Just terrible

I wish there could be zero stars. Again, factory speakers in a 10 year old Toyota Corolla outperform these. What a shame that Kenwood and Crutchfield market this product.

Good vocals and treble qualities, but not much in the way of bass. I was replacing the old paper cone factory speakers so anything is an improvement. I am going to move these to the doors and install some 4x6 or 6x9's to improve bass.

Wasnt expecting much from these speakers. Install them in an 08 CRV to replace the factory speakers. Definitely better than factory. Poor low end but ran a HPF at 120hz and it sounds good. I just let my sub pick up the rest. Well worth $50!

I did not want to spend much money to replace the stock speakers in my 12 year old vehicle, but should have spent a little more. I feel like I'm listening to the am radio from the 70's.

For three way design, this sounds good mid to high range. Lows needs a little bit more oomph. According to Crutchfield's fit guide, i needed no mods but i noticed that this speaker size was tad smaller than what was in there.. if it weren't for the longer screw flange on the outer speaker ring, I would have send them back for the next size up.

Pros:

Good sound overall for the price.

Cons:

Not much in the low range

You get what you pay for with these speakers: just a nice upgrade from factory, but nothing spectacular. You can't expect much bass from speakers this small so I wasn't really disappointed with that, but I will want to add some bass in the future to level the sound out. The one thing that I have noticed is that at high volume the bass and mids drop out and the sound can get pretty harsh. I would suggest complementing these with some larger, broader range speakers, definitely don't build a system with only these.

Pros:

Loud, clear.

Cons:

No bass, poor sound range at high volume.

Cons:

Speaker mounting holes didn't fit perfectly in pre drilled holes in vehicle. A quick redrill solved the problem.

Although maybe not full of mid bass, these speakers, when combined with a subwoofer, sound quite nice. Running two of them and two Kicker 10" subs in a reg cab truck, off of a RF P400-4 amp and the sound is very good.

Great, clear sound for the money.

Not much midbass, which is expected....

The Tahoe front door speaker installed perfectly with the supplied exact fit bracket and harness. I made an error and tried to use the bracket on the back door and it took some customizing.

Pros:

easy fit and install

Cons:

the factory speakers had a better air seal between the door and the passenger area.

Great little speakers, they distort at max volume of my stereo but I am not running a HI-amp so I do not know their full potential. Has a nice mid hit quality and excellent high clarity. Not the best speakers in the world, but the price and quality is right. FYI faceplate does come off.

Pros:

Cheap, clear high sound, mid-level hits.

Cons:

I wouldn't recommend pushing bass through them, get some woofers and tune down your stereo.

I installed these to replace my factory speakers in my chevy silverado regular cab. They are not sufficient enough for the small space. The factory ones were better.. I wish I would have gotten a bigger size.

Okay for talk radio or sports. Not if you need quick low end response at even medium volume (such as metal and hard rock). Not sure what I expected for the price.

The reviews on these speakers were rather lackluster. I am not an audiophile or a sound engineer. Since I bought a new head unit for my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I figured the factory speakers were probably due for an update, even though I thought my factory-installed (but 10 year old) speakers were fine. Crutchfield was running a special on these speakers when purchased with my new head unit, so I took the plunge. The sound from these speakers is definitely superior to my factory speakers, at least to my non-audiophile hearing. I was surprised the sound was so good, although I suspect the bass cannot be heard (or felt) a block away. I am very happy with the purchase.

Pros:

Price, sound quality, all needed mounting hardware supplied at no additional cost.

Cons:

Probably not concert-hall sound (although improved from factory front door speakers.)

I was looking to replace factory speakers on my vehicle. I was not expecting bass or anything like that from a small speaker however once installed the sound quality was very poor in my opinion. The hits were very clear on this speaker however there was no low to speak of. The factory 1997 paper cone speakers had more low than these. Again, I wasn't looking for bass or expecting it however I was expecting there to be a little low end out of a brand name product
