You can power these speakers with up to 60 watts of RMS power — they'll work great with an external amplifier, but they're also sensitive enough to be a good match for a factory or aftermarket stereo. Plus, Infinity comes up with a safe way to get a little more power out of your system — these 3-ohm speakers combine with the speaker wire in your car so your car stereo sees actual 4-ohm impedance. Features

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and increased efficiency.

Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

Textile Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses an edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot design mounts the tweeter at an angle and pivots, so the tweeter can be pointed at the listeners, optimizing the stereo image for a more uniform response. The tweeter housing can be turned approximately 315 degrees.

Tweeter Level Control: A switch on the front of the tweeter allows you to boost the tweeter output to +3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed.

True Four Ohm Impedance Technology: The speaker's 3-ohm impedance combined with the impedance of your speaker wire provides a true 4-ohm load to your connected head unit or amplifier.

Power Handling: Although Infinity rates the 8602cfx speakers at 60 watts RMS (continuous average), they also recommend amplifiers with a power rating from 5 to 125 watts RMS.

INCREDIBLE!!!!! Bought these to replace the OEM speakers in my 2012 Ford F-150 Supercab. The OEM speakers were just awful. I am extremely impressed with these speakers. As someone wrote in another review they sound much better if you select the +3db option which is a nice touch. They have plenty of good clean, clear sound with plenty of punch for a 6x8. Install time was about 40 minutes total and was very simple, even for the first time installer. I have these mated with a 10" MTX Loaded Thunderform. I also installed a remote gain adjustment to select how much thump I'm in the mood for. At a later date, I will be installing these in the rear doors as well. The sound is that good!!! After that I will be replacing the tweeters with FOCAL. To really hear the clarity of the Infinities, music from an ipod or stick is best. FM also sounds much better, but lacks the clean digital clarity. You will not have any regrets with this product.
Pros:
The Audiophile in me lives again. GREAT super clean, distortion free sound.
Cons:
Absolutely none.

Replaced the horrible stock speakers in my 2013 F150 STX with these speakers. I can't express how much of an improvement these made in the otherwise stock sound system. I had no problem whatsoever dropping these in with no mods of any kind. The adapters for the Ford wiring harness did not fit tight on the speaker lugs so I soldered them to the speakers. Probably a good idea regardless. Then I placed plastic tie wraps around the wires and speakers. Anyway, These speakers sound GREAT! Cristal clear. The highs are sharp and crisp. The mid-range is separate and highly articulate. The bass is nice and tight. You will not get a lot of bass with these (or any 6x8), but what is there is well defined an responsive. Additionally the tweeters are adjustable with two settings. I found that the -3db cut some harshness out of what some recordings have and better defined the mid-range. But that is subjective and that is why the are switchable. These speakers are also very efficient. Clear at low volumes and even better when driven. Even with the stock head. Overall these speakers sound great and are a huge improvement over the original equipment. I highly recommend them.

These Speakers sound so much better than the original. Vocals are much crisper and the bass response is exceptional even on the stock radio. The sound got better when I did change the radio though.

Great speakers, if you plan on adding a sub. The mids and highs are very clean, but they definitely lack bass. I hooked mine up to an old 50 watt alpine that I had and they sounded very clean, but not as much of that deep rich bass, my stock speakers had much more. Overall great quality though. After I installed a set of 10 in. infiniti reference subs in back the system was perfect.

After installing these speakers for both front and back speakers in my F350, I can say I am very pleased with the quality and sound these speakers produce. The only flaw was Crutchfields instructions, it was minor, the socket size to remove speakers and door panel was different than what the instruction showed.

Installed in my 2009 F150 Super Crew Cab, and thought the mids and highs were very good, but they lacked even the amount of bass present in the stock speakers. I wanted to install something where I could just replace the speakers without adding amps or subs. I returned these to Crutchfield, and bought Kicker KS68 speakers instead. I was much happier with the Kickers. The Infinity speakers would be a great choice for someone who is looking to add subs later on. I was very pleased with the clarity, but wanted a little more low end.

Good, with a couple of caveats

I installed these in a 2012 Escape with Premium sound - replaced all 4 speakers (front and rear doors). The overall sound is better, but the improvement isn't as dramatic as you might expect. They are much better than the single-cone rears and somewhat better than the 2-way front speakers that come with the car. However, there are a couple of issues I discovered: 1 - The Infinities are not as efficient as the stock speakers. That's a problem because the Ford "Premium" system includes a subwoofer and (as far as I can tell) there's no way to adjust the level of the sub. So you need to turn down the bass at the head unit to stop the booming in the back, which is not ideal and probably the reason these don't sound as rich as I was expecting. 2 - After a few weeks, my speakers started cutting in and out. After some trial and error I discovered that the problem was the wiring harness adapters that Crutchfield supplies. Although they were correctly connected to the Ford harnesses, the electrical connections were not solid. I cut the connectors off and spliced the wires directly and they work fine now. Strangely, this only affected the front speakers; maybe the connectors were slightly out of spec.
Pros:
Very clean sound - extended highs. Great build quality.
Cons:
May not be best choice for Fords with Subwoofer - recommend finding more efficient speaker; Connectors did not make reliable electrical connection.

Great sounding speakers, 100% improvement over the factory speakers Ford Installs. Be advised if your NAV system includes a tweeter in the door panel, it will need to be disconnected to use, with the great sounds produced from these speakers there is no need for the factory tweeter.

Great speakers and a great price. I am very happy with the sound quality of these speakers. I am running these as rear speakers through an Alpine KTP 445U amp off a Kenwood deck. Front speakers are a pair of Rockford Fosgate Prime R1682. Comparing the two I am more impressed with the sound of the Infinities over the Fosgates. The Fosgates tend to distort at higher volume long before the Infinities. After adding the little Alpine amp these speakers really came to life. Crisp highs and great sounding mids. I'm using these strickly for my highs and mids as I'm also running a Sound Ordnance B-8PT powered sub that I must say, I'm also very impressed with. All this is in an 05 F-250. It's not going to rock the neighborhood but it will definitely deaden any noise or voices that may be along for the ride with you.

I installed these in my 03 Ford Mustand and the installation was very easy. I replaced these speakers with my older Polk ones and these Infinity ones just blew away the older speakers. I have my speakers connected to an amp. and they sound great with no distortion.

Installed these in my 02 mustang not long after installing a Pioneer head unit. The install was a breeze thanks to the detailed instructions that Crutchfield provides. Seemed to get better highs out of these speakers, but as far as bass I cant notice much of a difference from what i heard i would. Maybe i am just not fine tuning my head unit to this right, very possible. The only downfall i had with these is that the spade terminal on them are very brittle and i almost broke one off when trying to plug in my harnesss. also had to use some nuts and bolts when reintalling since the factory screws were not getting these speakers snug.

Replaced garbage factory stock speakers on F150 with stock H/U (not Sony), no AMP, no Sub. The speakers were easy to install. Mounts with screws that held the factory speakers in....this is a big deal as I had to return a nice pair of Pioneer TS-D6802R speakers that would not mount with the rather large pan-head factory screw because of the very limiting plastic bezel around the speaker. If you use a different screw, as I tried, you strip to plastic ford fasteners because a standard 8 x1" screw that comes with most aftermarket speakers has a thread that is too tight.
Pros:
Sound quality, even with weak factory H/U.
Cons:
Little tough to get the wire harness connections the speaker leads...but patience prevailed.

I bought a 2011 ford escape new last summer with fords "premium" sound which is a joke. After having the car for a few months the speakers started rattling as if they were blown already. Ford would not replace them because they said there wasn't anything wrong. I bought these speakers and it took care of the rattling and also gave a much better sound. I only replaced the front speakers but after hearing how good they sound I will be buying them for the back also.

I'm a longtime customer of Crutchfield and these aren't my first Infinity speakers. I hadn't really made up my mind about new speakers but when these went on sale I went ahead and bit. Glad I did. Even without a deck upgrade the sound quality is so much better. As always you get everything you need and the install was very easy. I put these in a Mazda 4 door pickup and they fit perfectly.
